Shefer Doubles Through Negreanu

Niveau 10
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Max Kruse opened to 1,100 in early position and got a call from Daniel Negreanu in late position before Ariel Shefer three-bet to 3,000 in the small blind. Both opponents called and the trio went to the drawing rounds.

Shefer took one card, while Kruse and Negreanu each took two. Shefer then led out for 9,000 which got a fold from Kruse, but Negreanu moved all in, covering Shefer's 18,800 total. Shefer called and patted his hand. Negreanu deliberated briefly before opting to break his hand and draw one.

On the second and third draws, Negreanu still needed to draw one while Shefer continued to pat his hand.

Once the final draw was completed, Negreanu revealed 5x4x3x2x, while Shefer showed 7x6x4x3x2x for number two.

Negreanu squeezed for a three-across and got it, unfortunately for him it was a 6x.

"I made a straight, I get the high," joked the Poker Hall of Famer before passing his chips to Shefer.

Multi-way All-in Benefits Lu and Szymaszek

Niveau 9

Big O

A large pot was being sorted out on the flop which resulted in Chen Lu all in for 20,100 in the small blind and Matt Szymaszek all in for 10,700 from the big blind versus the cutoff and button.

The board read 106A and the hands were revealed.

Chen Lu: AAJ95
Matt Szymaszek: 75432
Cutoff: Q6622
Button: KKQ63

On the high side of the hand, Lu held top set versus the cutoff's bottom set and the button's nut flush draw.

For low, virtually any card under an eight would give Szymasek that half of the pot.

The A fell on the turn giving Lu quad aces, and he was a card away from a scoop if a non-pairing low card came.

The 3 came on the river instead, giving Szymaszek the low half of the pot with his six-low.

Five players saw fourth street as Phil Hellmuth bet and got three callers. An opponent then bet on fifth street and only Hellmuth called.

The opponent bet again on sixth street and Hellmuth called, and the same action took place on seventh street.

"I made a full house! I just call," Hellmuth said as he revealed fours full of deuces against his opponent's trips to scoop the pot. "Woohoo!"
