Event #51: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold’em Kicks Off at 12 PM

This is a day a lot of poker enthusiasts are waiting for at the Word Series of Poker. Thursday, June 22, at 12 p.m. local time, friends, siblings, and partners will gather to take part in Event #15: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold’em. Get ready for three days of action at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.

This year again, only one partner is allowed. All teams must register together and both players must check in to their table before the end of the registration. Teammates must play at least one round of blinds at some point in the tournament or the team will be disqualified.

Players may tag a teammate as long as that player is not in an active hand. Payouts will be calculated based on the number of teams and distributed evenly among the teammates.

In 2022, a fourth day was added to the tournament and British pro player Patrick Leonard with Norwegian Espen Jorstad won the event for $148,067 to split after topping a field of 913 teams. Later on, Jorstad became the winner of the 2022 WSOP Main Event. Will one of this year's winners enjoy the same fate?
