Hawkins Makes a "Bad Fold"

On a flop of A♥Q♥5♣, Maurice Hawkins checked to Taehyung Kim as he pushed out a bet of 1,500 into the pot of 4,700. Hawkins called.

The 5♠ paired the board on the turn and Hawkins checked once again before Kim fired out a bet of 4,100.

Hawkins went into the tank while talking to himself, "this might be a really bad fold. I can't just call, I'm either going to just punt to you or fold."

A few more moments went before Hawkins eventually folded and tabled A♣K♣K♠ while mucking his fourth card.

Kim chuckled as he tabled three of his own, 9♣6♣3♦, and flashed the fourth card quickly which was a picture card.

"This is why I don't fold in these events," Hawkins continued, "Everyone in these fields are so bad."

Saliba Chips Up Further in Multi-Way Pot

The action picked up on a flop reading 3♦5♥7♠ in a multi-way hand where Vivian Saliba reraised a player in late position against an all-in player in the big blind.

The late position player called, which created a side pot.

Saliba bet out 10,000 on the 2♠ turn and was called.

Saliba then bet out enough to put the late position player all in on the K♣ river, but he announced, "brick, you win," and then mucked.

Saliba flopped a straight and the player in the big blind was not able to catch-up, delivering Saliba a sizeable pot.

The 10♦ hit the turn and once checked to, Saliba eyed up her opponent's stack of roughly 40,000 and pushed forward a multicolored stack for a pot-sized bet. Her opponent thought it over for about 10 seconds before surrendering the pot.
