Day 3 of Event #81: $600 Ultra Stack No-Limit Hold'em begins at 1 p.m. local time Friday, July 14, at the 2023 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. The remaining nine players have already made the final table and will be looking to secure the top prize of $401,250 and a coveted WSOP gold bracelet.

Leading the field to start the day is John Fagg, bagging an impressive 91,000,000. Fagg’s previous career-best cash of $156,041 comes from a circuit event win in 2022 where he successfully navigated through another massive field of over 2,000 entrants. A top three finish will be required for Fagg to top his previous career-best score.

Hot on his heels is Peyton Ethridge who managed to bag 70,000,000 to start the day, worth 35 big blinds. Ethridge, who is entering his first WSOP final table, has already surpassed his previous career best score of $8,069 from earlier this year when he cashed in Event #53: $1,500 Millionaire Maker, but his sights will undoubtedly be set on the top prize in this event.

Rounding out the top three is South Korean player Min Sung Lee, who bagged 59,000,000 chips at the end of Day 2. Lee shot up the chip counts late in the day and he secured the last elimination of the day when he sent Shane Rose to the rail with king-queen in a preflop confrontation.

Yet to have a showdown, Logan Moon was first to get all in but garnered no callers.

Two hands later, Peyton Ethridge raised to 4,000,000 but folded when Denny Lee went all in for approximately 26,000,000.

There's still plenty left to happen at this final table but it's clear the competitors came to play for the top prize.

The Queen Works

Niveau 40 : Blinds 1,000,000/2,000,000, 2,000,000 ante

Denny Lee raised to 5,000,000 under the gun and was called by Peyton Ethridge in late position.

Heads up, they saw a flop of A4Q and Lee continued with a bet of 6,000,000 which was quickly called by Ethridge. The turn brought the 6 and both players checked. When the 3 rolled off they did the same.

Lee declared pocket nines but mucked his hand when Peyton showed the QJ.
