Emmett Wins a Hand for PokerNews

"I'm playing this only because PokerNews is watching" said Randall Emmet before opening under the gun to 1,500. He picked up calls by the two players next to him and the button.

The flop revealed A♣6♥3♦ and Emmett continued to bet for 1,500, commenting "I need to do it because PokerNews is writing the hand!" . Once again, his three opponents called.

On the K♠ turn, Emmett sent 7,000 in the middle and it was enough to make his opponents fold and win the pot.

"Watch this" said Emmett before tabling K♦3♥ for two pair. "Finally I'll be on PokerNews when I'm winning hand!" added he jokingly.

Ozgur Sends Out Hutter

Action was picked up on the turn in a pot with 6,400 in the middle.

The board read 10♦5♥A♥K♦ and Hutter checked over to Ozgur who bet 2,200. Hutter responded by moving all in for 9,700 and Ozgur called.

The river J♣ was not the king that Hutter needed to fill up against Ozgur's set and he exited the tournament.

Picquelle Attempts to Punt his Chips Off

Sean Picquelle was under the gun and limped in the pot and the player beside also limped but the cutoff had other ideas and raised to 2,200. Picquelle decided to take a stand and three-bet to 7,000 but the cutoff was not going anywhere and five-bet to 16,000. Picquelle stuffed all of his chips in for 47,000 and the cutoff called.

The board came out Q♥A♥8♥2♣9♠ and Picquelle was unsuccessful at the punt off and doubled his stack. Picquelle requested the title of this post and laughed as he stacked his chips.

Lococo Is Everywhere

"We've been out of focus for 20 minutes," said a player at Alejandro Lococo's table. Because while he is a playing, Lococo's deeprun in the 2021 WSOP Main Event is displayed on the screens, so everybody is watching.

Lococo even remembered his sizings at the time. "1.2 million was good here", he commented, looking at the screen.

And even him lost his concentration. "Am I in the small blind?" he asked. "Yes," answered the dealer. So Lococo bet 1,500, and the big blind called.

The rest of the hand isn't important as both players checked all the way through on 3♥6♠2♦5♦10♥. But "Papo MC" almost won the pot as he showed Q♣J♠. The dealer started to push the chips in his direction. But after a few seconds, the big blind showed 8♥5♠ and took the pot.

Anderson Gets Value on the River

Francis Anderson bet 2,000 from the cutoff on a flop of 7♣2♠J♠ and was called by an opponent in middle position.

Both players checked the 2♥ turn, while the player in middle position checked again on the A♣ river. Anderson now fired out 4,500 and his opponent quickly called.

Anderson turned over A♠4♣ for a rivered two pair that was good enough to win the pot.

Little Wins the Battle of the Blinds

Everyone folded to Jonathan Little in the small blind and he called the big blind. They were quick to check as both players headed to the flop.

The flop came 6♣J♦K♣, and Little led out for 1,000. His opponent made the call.

While the 6♥ peeled off on the turn, Little fired for 2,300. The big blind called to the river.

The A♣ peeled off, and both players were quick to check. Jonathan Little showed K♥10♦ to scoop the pot.

Snyder Forces Wilkerson Out

With 3,700 in the middle, the flop read 2♣2♥2♦ and Steven Snyder bet 1,500. Dylan Wilkerson was the only opponent and took about 20 seconds before making the call.

The 8♠ fell on the turn, and Synder continued with aggression, betting 3,500. Wilkerson stuck around, making the call.

When the 4♦ hit the river, Snyder fired once more, putting 5,500 across the line. Wilkerson paused for a bit longer this time but ultimately decided to let it go.

Kornuth Shows Quads

Four ways on a 8♣6♣A♥ flop, it appeared action had checked to Chance Kornuth in the cutoff, who bet 2,600. The player in the big blind then check-raised to 8,200 and only Kornuth called.

The 8♠ came on the turn and the big blind check-called a 5,500 bet from Kornuth.

Kornuth's opponent checked again when the 10♥ completed the board and Kornuth fired a hefty 29,000 into the middle. His opponent folded after a bit of thought and Kornuth said, "I don't know if I should show this," as he tabled 8♥8♦ for quad eights and collected the pot.
