Hinkle Over 100,000

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Blair Hinkle
Blair Hinkle

Blair Hinkle raised to 600 from under the gun and was three-bet to 1,500 by the player directly behind him. The player in the big blind called cold and Hinkle called as well.

The big blind led out for 5,000 on the J36 flop and only Hinkle called.

The turn brought the 5 and Hinkle's opponent bet again, this time for 10,000. Hinkle again called.

The big blind bet 15,000 when the 4 completed the board and Hinkle raised to 38,000. Hinkle's opponent agonized for a bit before deciding to call and Hinkle turned over 97 for a flopped flush draw turned runner-runner straight.

Hinkle's opponent couldn't beat it and mucked, conceding the monster pot to Hinkle.

Firsau Sends One Out

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With around 17,000 in the pot on a board of 9543, Vasili Firsau threw in a green 25,000 chip from the small blind.

Action was on an opponent in early position and he immediately shoved his last 15,000 in the middle and turned over 66. Virsau, though, had QQ. The all-in player was looking for help on the river but none arrived as the dealer turned over the A, sending him crashing out of the Main Event on Level 1.

Begni Takes One from Ivey

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

A player in middle position raised to 500 and Phil Ivey called next to act before Roberto Begni called in the big blind.

When the dealer spread a flop of 1087, Begni check-called a bet of 1,000 from Ivey, while the preflop raiser check-folded.

The 9 hit the turn and Begni took the lead, firing 2,000 into the middle. Ivey called.

When the K completed the board, Begni tossed in a bet of 7,000, and Ivey only took a couple of seconds before giving his cards back to the dealer.

Hartigan Wins With Jacks

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

A player raised to 500 in the hijack which saw Craig Trost call in the cutoff and James Hartigan call in the big blind.

The flop of 987 saw action check around to Trost who bet 600, which only Hartigan called.

Hartigan checked once more on the 3 turn to Trost, who sized up to 2,200 and Hartigan called once more.

The river of 9 checked through and Hartigan turned up JJ for jacks-up and it was good for the poker commentator to take down the pot.

Cucchiara Runs Into a Bigger Pair

Niveau 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Frank Cucchiara, who gave away a Main Event seat to one of his social media followers, has himself entered the tournament here on Day 1d, but just dropped a pot to take an early hit.

Cucchiara and Anderson Huang went heads-up to the 6Q5 flop where Cucchiara checked, Huang fired out 2,600, and Cucchiara called.

Both players checked the A turn as the Q fell on the river. Cucchiara checked again.

"Okay," Huang said as he checked behind. Cucchiara turned over 99, but Huang had 1010 for the win.

"That was lucky," Huang said as he dragged in the pot.
