Nguyen the Last Champ Standing as He Takes Out Harrington

Niveau 19 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Qui Nguyen
Qui Nguyen

Dan Harrington moved all in for 94,000 under the gun before Nenad Dukic reraised to 172,000 in the hijack. "Gamble for $10K," Qui Nguyen said as he shoved for 560,000 in the big blind. Dukic, with around 350,000 remaining, then went into the tank.

"If you win we go gamble it away. Play some baccarat," Keith Lehr told Nguyen. Dukic eventually folded, leaving Nguyen heads-up against Harrington.

Dan Harrington: 108 All in
Qui Nguyen: A5

Nguyen hit a pair on the 562 flop, then improved to trips on the 5 turn to leave Harrington needing to complete a straight on the river.

The 8 river arrived to late for Harrington as he was sent to the rail while Nguyen collected his third Main Event bounty of the day.

Niveau 19 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Alex Keating
Alex Keating

Three players saw the turn on the board of 6675. The small blind checked, Alex Keating made it 75,000 from the big blind. Pierce Mckellar called in early position, and the small blind folded.

The river was the 3, and Keating moved all in. He had Mckellar covered for an effective bet of about 240,000. Mckellar struggled over the decision for his tournament, smilingly staring down his opponent over the uncomfortable four-to-a-straight board. He ultimately folded and later commented he really did not like the river, while Keating claimed he loved it.

Heads-up on a flop of J7J, Brian Rast bet 22,000 from the hijack and Spencer Champlin called in the big blind.

The turn was the A and Rast bet another 75,000. Champlin again called and the 8 fell on the river.

Rast then slid forward a bet of 200,000 as Champlin went into the tank. Champlin thought about the decision for nearly five minutes until he released his hand and Rast took in the pot.

Flush Over Flush Sees Zeidman Double Through Rast

Robert Zeidman

On a board of QA2K and with around 160,000 chips in the pot, Robert Zeidman had bet 75,000 and Brian Rast raised to 200,000. Zeidman had a little under 300,000 remaining and quickly shoved all in. Rast wasted no time and snap-called.

Robert Zeidman: Q8 All in
Brian Rast: 67

A dream situation for Zeidman as his opponent was drawing dead and the double-up was confirmed before the meaningless Q completed the board.
