Goodman Flops Top Set and Gets Value on All Three Streets

David Goodman opened the hijack to 24,000 and Daniel Zack three-bet to 85,000 out of the small blind. Goodman made the call to see a flop.

On the 2♦8♠A♣ board, Zack continued for 48,000 and Goodman called.

The 6♦ turn saw Zack slow down with a check, Goodman bet 55,000, and Zack called.

When the 3♥ landed on the river, Zack checked again and was faced with a bet of 185,000 from Goodman. It took around two minutes before Zack came to a decision and he did so by sliding a stack of chips forward and made the call.

Goodman flipped over A♥A♠ for top set and Zack rechecked his cards before he mucked.

Mitchell Halverson moved all in for around 120,000 in early position, Yuzhou Yin reshoved in the cutoff, and Terry Fleischer called for 385,000 in the big blind.

Yin was ahead with his two tens and poised for a double knockout until the flop came 8♥2♣A♦, giving Fleischer the lead with his aces, king-kicker.

The rest of the board came 7♠7♦ and Fleischer scooped the entire pot, doubling up off Yin while sending Halverson to the rail.

"We're in trouble now. There's a new sheriff in town," tablemate Asher Conniff said.

The action was picked up on the turn, where John Ripnick, on the button, bet 70,000 into a pot of slightly under 100,000.

The board read J♠9♥K♦6♠. Michel Molenaar, who was in the big blind, thought for a few moments and then called.

By the river, which was 4♦, the pot had ballooned to around 240,000. Molenaar checked first to act and Ripnick bet his remaining stack for just a bit under the size of the pot. After thinking for some time, Molenaar called.

Ripnick turned over Q♣10♥ for the nuts, while Molenaar showed he had 6♥9♠ for turned two pair.
