Those looking to immortalize their names in poker lore need to be aware of the set of new rule changes that the WSOP has implemented for the PoY race. These modifications are crucial for anyone planning their summer grind and hoping to secure a spot at the top of the leaderboard.

Break Time

Niveau 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Players are now on a 15-minute break, the second such interval of the event. Players will return in Level 5 with 300/600 blinds and a 600 ante.

Spicy Turn Action

Niveau 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action folded to a player in middle position who opened to 1,500. Venkatara Ganne called on the button, the small blind folded, and the big blind called.

The flop fell 94J and action checked to Ganne who bet 2,000 and both opponents called.

The turn 9 saw the big blind lead for 3,800 and middle position call before Ganne raised to 10,000. The big blind considered his options before three-betting to 70,000. Middle position folded and Ganne quickly called for the remaining 7,700 in his stack.

The river came the A and Ganne's king kicker held up as both players showed trips.

Hutter Forces Fold

On the turn, the board read 2JA2. Barry Hutter was on the button and called the 6,000 bet from his opponent who was in the small blind.

The river came the 8. Hutter fired out 25,000 into a pot of about 41,000 which got a swift fold from his opponent and Hutter took in the pot.

Burlacu Takes One With Pressure

Robert Burlacu opened his button to 1,200 before the small blind folded and big blind called.

The flop 7AA saw the big blind check and Burlacu continue for 600. The big blind called.

On the turn J, the big blind once again checked to Burlacu who fired another 2,200. The big blind tanked for a bit before calling.

Burlacu fired again on the river 3 for a bet of 3,900 and his opponent folded.

Rheem Shows the Winner

Chino Rheem raised 1,200 under the gun, and watched as action folded to the button, where the player called. The two players in the blind quickly folded.

The dealer fanned Q28 on the flop, prompting Rheem to lead out with a 1,600 bet. His opponent quickly folded.

Rheem then picked up his two cards off the table, looked at them, and then tossed them face up near the board to show AQ.

Cabrera Gets a Call From Livingston

Niveau 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

With a decent sized pot of about 30,000 in the middle on the board reading 10K1087, David Cabrera made a rather small bet of 7,000 from under the gun.

Alex Livingston was in the button and considered it for some time before he called.

Cabrera tabled the 88 for the boat and moved his stack near six figures.
