Underwood Takes from Eveslage

Niveau 16 : Limits 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Benjamin Underwood opened from the cutoff and Chad Eveslage defended in the big blind.

Eveslage checked then raised after Underwood continued on the K78 flop. It did not take long for Underwood to count out calling chips to send action to the turn.

The Q turn saw Eveslage push forward another bet with Underwood once again making the call.

Eveslage slowed down following the K river, checking to Underwood who would not let his opponent go to a cheap showdown. After some thought and with a sigh Eveslage threw his hand away to take a hit to his stack on the soft bubble.

David Lieberman
David Lieberman

Ronnie Bardah raised in middle position and when it folded to David Lieberman in the small blind he put in the three-bet. Bardah made the call, with Lieberman only having 12,000 chips left behind.

Before the flop came out Liberman looked over to his wife and said, "This is it Honey". Once the 1023 flop came out, Lieberman bet all in. Bardah did sit in the tank for about two minutes saying "I think this is the worst possible hand I could show up with here" before making the call.

David Lieberman: AA All in
Ronnie Bardah: QJ

Lieberman was poised for the double, with Bardah needing running cards to crack the aces. But the turn 9 was just what Bardah was looking for as he was now open ended needing an eight or king to make a straight.

The river card was exactly that when the K rolled off to give Bardah a straight and crack the aces of Lieberman.

The flop came K10J, prompting Dirksen to take over the betting lead. Kelsall relinquished his hand in short order while Schulman opted to peel.
