Seward Bluffs It Off
Niveau 37
: 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
In a blind vs. blind confrontation, Nicholas Seward raised to 2,000,000 from the small blind with 6♣3♠, and Konstantyn Holskyi called from the big blind with 9♦7♦.
The flop came A♦9♠8♥, giving Holskyi a pair of nines. Seward continued with a bet of 1,000,000, which Holskyi called.
Both players checked the A♠ turn.
On the 7♣ river, Seward opted to bluff with a hefty bet of 7,200,000 after some deliberation. Holskyi quickly called, risking his tournament life, but his call was correct as he doubled up.
