Brito Gets Paid Off

Niveau 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Jose Carlos Brito raised 1,600,000 in the small blind against Clement Meunier, who defended in the big blind.

The dealer fanned 7K4 on the board, and Brito led out with 1,400,000, which drew a call from Meunier.

The turn showed 5, and Brito slowed down with a check. Meunier used the opportunity to bet 2,600,000, which Brito contemplated a few moments before calling.

The dealer placed 2 on the board, putting four clubs on the board.

Brito deliberately counted out 1,400,000, and then moved the stack forward as his bet. Meunier looked at his opponent, and then made the call.

Brito tabled A10 for the nut flush and the winning hand.

All three of them checked a flop of Q9K. But after Estol and Maher checked the A turn, Alban bet 2,500,000. Estol raised all in for 2,800,000 and made Maher fold, while Alban made the call.

Heads-up on a flop of 665, Behnam Patros in the big blind bet 1,500,000, but Guangming Li in middle position raised to 4,000,000.

Patros went deep into the tank, and after several minutes, he eventually called.

Joao Simao raised 1,200,000 under the gun. Action folded to Pedro Neves, who was in the big blind, and Neves defended by calling Simao’s preflop raise.

The dealer fanned KQ3 on the board, and Neves checked.

Simao, a two-time WSOP bracelet winner, bet 800,000, which Neves briefly considered before calling.

The turn brought 9, which Neves checked. Simao sized up a bet to 2,650,000, which proved more than enough to push Neves out of the hand with a fold.
