The Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas was buzzing today as Day 2 of Event 5: $1,000 Mystery Millions ran its course with two mega bounties of $1,000,000 being awarded. A staggering 950 players returned for the second day and just 18 managed to survive the onslaught and make it into Day 3, which will play out Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Horseshoe Event Center.

Jake Brown was the player who bagged up the biggest stack after he ended the day with 76,525,000. Brown also managed to pull one of the top bounties of $250,000 during the closing levels of the day and unleashed an ecstatic roar that echoed throughout the room.

Ukraine's Valentyn Shabelnyk was the first player who got his hands on the top bounty as he picked one of the two $1,000,000 prizes during the opening level of play. DJ Buckley was the lucky player to grab the last seven-figure bounty on offer during Level 29 which was met with cheers, and some groans, from around the room.

Carson Richards sits second on the leaderboard with a stack of 74,600,000 and has just over $32,000 in tracked live tournament earnings according to Hendon Mob, which he has already eclipsed as he is guaranteed at least $36,550 come Day 3.

Michael Miller (PA) rounds out the top three stacks with 68,400,000 chips. Miller went on a rampage during the closing levels and first eliminated Prasad Vemulapalli then picked up another bounty after he sent Justin Vautrin to the rail. Miller collected another scalp after getting the better of Joshua Reichard to finish the day strong and put himself in a great position on Day 3.

The remaining 18 players will come back for Day 3 at 1:00 p.m. local time on June 4 and blinds will start at Level 40, 1,000,000/2,000,000 with a 2,000,000 big blind ante. With an average stack of just over 20 big blinds, the action is expected to be fast-paced. A new champion will be crowned and a bracelet will find a new home on the wrist of one of the remaining players, but only time will tell who it will be.

Amir Mirrasouli initiated the action with a raise to 2,000,000 from middle position. He was called by Eugene Tito in the cutoff and Oshri Azran on the button. Zichuan Huang, in the big blind, went all in for 2,950,000, which every player paid, adding a bounty to the pot.

On the A29 flop, Mirrasouli continued with a bet of 4,500,000. Tito went into the tank and then raised to 10,500,000. Azran folded, and after some thought, Mirrasouli also folded, sending the hand to a showdown.

With Tito holding a set, Huang needed another queen for a double-up. However, the turn 7 and river 8 didn’t help, and Tito collected another bounty, sending Huang to the rail.
