Everyone folded to Tsz Yuet Liu in the small blind, who raised to 10,000, and Orathai Nasathaen called in the big blind.
Both players checked the 8♠4♦6♦ flop.
On the 7♥ turn, Liu led out with 21,000, and Nasathaen called.
The 5♠ on the river completed a straight on the board, and Liu made a huge bet of 50,000, which Nasathaen snap-called. Neither player had a nine, resulting in a split pot.
Monika Zukowicz raised to 8,000 from late position and Kasey Mills called on the hijack and Anastasiia Knapp the chip leader at the table three-bet to 28,000. Zukowicz folded and Mills called. The flop came out with 2♣5♣3♣ and Mills checked and Knapp continued with 25,000. Mills flat called.
Both players checked the turn 4♠.
On the river 10♠ Mills checked and Knapp put out an intimidating bet of 65,000. Mills went into the tank and then folded and stated she folded a set. Knapp mucked and took down a nice pot.
PokerNews joined the action with about 70,000 already in the pot, and the board showing Q♥10♠K♦6♦. Sarah Pluard, first to act, bet 50,000. Mor Kamber responded with an all-in for 130,000. After some thought, Pluard called, and they went to showdown.
Mor Kamber: A♣J♣
Sarah Pluard: K♣10♥
Kamber had flopped a straight, while Pluard held two pair, hoping for another king or ten to win the pot and eliminate Kamber. However, her wish wasn't granted as the river brought the 7♠. Kamber doubled up.
Now that the bubble has burst the women are relaxing a bit and getting back to basics. Molly Mossey moved all in for 37,000 from under the gun and Alexandra Loveless set up her camera and made the call from the big blind.
Jessica Teusl joked, "Oh oh she is setting up her camera".
Molly Mossey: 7♣7♥
Alexandra Loveless: A♦Q♠
The board came out with 5♣2♥3♦10♥J♥ and Mossey managed to dodge all of Loveless's outs to double her stack
Two player needed to bust before the money and players were in hand for hand. Katherine Stewart was forced all in from the small blind with 2,000 chips. Daria Ivantey was on the button and limped, Gloria Davila checked from the big blind, and the players went three ways to the flop.
The board came 2♠J♣6♦ and the two non-all-in players checked the 3♥ and J♦ to showdown.
Stewart was good with her six and gasped as she realized she had won the pot. She commented, “Thank you six, only in the world series” as she was saved from being the soft bubble and got to stay for another round of hand for hand.
Steward folded through all rounds of hand for hand, and made it into the money.
The first hand after the bubble burst, Laura Westfall raised from the button to 6,000 and got a call from Daria Ivantey in the small blind and Katherine Stewart in the big blind, which put Stewart all in.
The flop came J♦4♦5♦ and both the small blind and button check to the J♥ turn.
Ivantey raised to 8,000 on the turn, prompting Westfall to fold, and the two remaining players flipped their hands.
Katherine Stewart: A♣3♣
Daria Ivantey: J♣8♣
The river came the 10♥ and Ivantey took the pot with trip jacks. Stewart was the first bust in the money, so didn’t leave empty handed. She walked away from the table and took home the $2,006 minimum cash.
The players were in hand-for-hand mode and playing to make it into the money. There were two all-ins on the same hand.
The first table promised a lot of action as Tracey Hill raised to 6,000 from late position. Cecile Ticherfatine then made a three-bet to 21,000, which Hill responded to with an all-in. Ticherfatine took her time to consider the call, as Hill had 153,000 chips. Ultimately, she decided to call, and they went to showdown.
Tracey Hill: 6♠6♦
Cecile Ticherfatine: K♦K♣
The board didn't change the initial situation as it showed 9♥Q♥10♦2♦J♣, giving Ticherfatine a straight, even though she didn't need it. This boosted Ticherfatine's stack to half a million, and Hill was eliminated.
At the second table, the action was very clear. Andrea Quadros went all in with A♣Q♥ and was called by Melanie Kaye with 7♥7♣.
Quadros was at risk and had to hope for a hit. Kaye called out, "lucky sevens," and she was right as the board showed 9♥K♦8♦9♦6♦, sending Quadros to the rail.
