Action was picked up with two players involved in a pot with 4,000 chips in the middle after the players drew cards.
Ryan Riess led out for a bet from the hijack of 7,000 and was called by Chris Hundley in the small blind.
Riess tabled 8♥6♠4♠3♠2♥ for an eight-six and scooped the pot.
Chance Kornuth had three-bet an earlier open-raise to 4,200 and Jonathan Krela four-bet to 10,200.
The action folded back to Kornuth, who thought it over for a bit before finding a fold.
"I started with a full house," Kornuth told Krela after the hand.
"You could have jammed it in my face," Krela replied.
Meanwhile, more familiar faces joined the No-Limit 2-7 Championship.
Shaun Deeb raised from early position and was only called by Bradley Jansen in the cutoff.
Deeb elected to draw two cards, while Jasen drew one.
Deeb then check-called the bet of 2,000 from Jansen.
Jansen tabled 10x9x5x4x3x for a 10-nine and took down the pot.
Patrick Stacey raised to 1,200 in the hijack and Dario Alioto called in the cutoff. Christopher Vitch also put in chips from the small blind and each player took one card during the draw.
The action then checked around, and Vitch triumphantly tabled 9x8x6x5x4x for the winning hand.
Meanwhile, the field kept expanding as the likes of James Chen and Joao Vieira sat down.
Jared Bleznick raised to 1,100 from the hijack and was only called by Chance Kornuth in the cutoff.
Bleznick stayed pat, and Kornuth drew one card. Bleznick then bet out 1,000 before being raised to 7,000 by Kornuth. Bleznick opted to lay his hand down, giving the pot to Kornuth.
Kornuth then showed 8♥8♣ for a pair in his hand, letting Bleznick know he got the bluff through.

David Stamm raised to 1,000 in the hijack and was called by Chris Hundley in the small blind and Bradley Jansen in the big blind. The blinds took two cards each before Stamm stood pat.
The action then checked to Stamm, who bet 2,000 and received two folds.
The next hand, Hundley raised his button to 1,000 and Darren Elias made it 5,000 to go in the big blind. Elias stood pat as Hundley took one.
They both checked and Hundley tabled a nine-low to rake in the pot.
Meanwhile, Oscar Johansson and Stuart Rutter were seen taking their seats.
Bradley Jansen raised to 1,000 in the hijack, and was called by David Stamm on the button, and Chris Hundley in the big blind.
Hundley drew one, Jansen stayed pat, and Stamm drew two cards.
Hundley checked to Jansen who bet out 1,500 and was called by Stamm. When it got back to Hundley, he raised to 4,500. Jansen opted to fold his hand, while Stamm made the call.
Hundley announced "eight-six" and tabled 8♠6♥5♣4♠2♣ and took down the pot as Stamm mucked his hand.
Xixiang Luo raised to 800 in the cutoff and Patrick Stacey defended the big blind. Stacey took one card and Luo stood pat.
Both then checked to showdown, where Stacey showed 8x5x4x3x2x for an eight-perfect.
Luo mucked his cards as his fellow countryman Yingui Li took his seat at the same table.
