Erik Seidel opened to 7,000 from early position and was called by David "Bakes" Baker in the cutoff, and Yueqi Zhu on the button. But David Funkhouser in the big blind three-bet to 37,000. Seidel and Baker made the call, while Zhu folded.
Funkhouser stood pat, while Seidel and Baker each drew one card.
After drawing, all three players decided to check and Funkhouser tabled 9x6x4x3x2x as the other players mucked their cards.
As action resumes on Day 2 of Event #72: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship (7-Handed) there are many big names near the top of the leaderboard. The chipleader after Day 1 is Naoya Kihara (379,000), but it will be no easy task to maintain that lead with the amount of quality players that remain in this field.

One of the stars in poker who will be in pursuit of Kihara today is six-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Shaun Deeb (327,000). Also in the mix and is looking to follow up a great Day 1 is high stakes crusher and bracelet winner Alex Foxen (303,500) who is sitting in sixth place coming into Day 2. Neither Deeb nor Foxen have had the results they would have hoped for so far this summer, but that could change with a deep run in this event and they are certainly on the right path following a strong Day 1.

Another story to watch for on Day 2 is Nick Schulman (165,00), a two-time winner in this event, finds himself in the mix once again. Schulman, the five-time bracelet winner was able to capture number five after his dominate performance in the $25,000 No Limit Hold'em High Roller earlier this summer. Schulman won this event in 2009 and 2012, and is looking to make another deep run this year.
Other notable players returning for Day 2 include Robert Mizrachi (272,500), Jen Harman (207,000), Erik Seidel (178,500), Mike Matusow (138,000), Scott Seiver (105,000) and Jason Mercier (57,500).

With 129 entries after Day 1, there will be 47 players returning for Day 2. Registration for this event is still open for the first two hours of play today, so it is expected many other big names will join the already stacked field.
When play resumes at 1 p.m. local time at Horseshoe and Paris, the players will begin in Level 11 at the 1500-3000 blind structure. The players will play 10-hour long levels, with a 15-minute break after every two levels, and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 16.
