2024 World Series of Poker
Niveau: 4
Blinds: 300/500
Ante: 500
Are we witnessing the greatest World Series of Poker (WSOP) ever?
No hyperbole, that's a genuine question. On Sunday, Scott Seiver won his third bracelet of the summer making him a lock to win the 2024 WSOP Player of the Year award. Or, so you'd think. But the latter part of that sentence couldn't be further from the truth.
Players are on the first 15-minute break of the day. Play will resume with blinds at 300/500 with a 500 big blind ante.
Kevin Rand opened from the hijack and Alex Foxen in the big blind three-bet. Rand made the call, then called after Foxen continued for 4,800 on A♦6♥10♦.
The Q♥ turn was checked by Foxen. Rand bet 11,400 and Foxen called to find the 8♦ river where he checked.
Rand pushed forward a pile of red chips worth 5,000 each for a total of 40,000, more than Foxen's stack. It didn't take long for Foxen to call.
Alex Foxen: A♣K♦
Kevin Rand: A♥Q♣
Foxen had top pair, but he ran into Rand's two pair and was eliminated.

Chris Hunichen had defended from the big blind to a button raise and seen the flop of 4♠6♣K♥ fall. Hunichen checked, and the button bet 1,200. Hunichen then check-raised to 4,000 and the button called.
Hunichen bet 9,000 on the 10♥ turn which his opponent called.
The 7♦ came on the river, completing the board. Hunichen fired out 25,000 into the middle. A few moments later, his opponent moved all in for 42,700. Hunichen was visibly distressed by the raise. Ultimately, he made the call and was shown K♠K♦ for a set by the button. Hunichen turned over 6♦4♦ for a flopped two pair as most of his chips were sent over to his opponent.
