Watson Joins the Main Event

On a board of 2276, Mitch Garshofsky bet 1,200 from under the gun and only Mike Watson made the call from the button.

The river came the 7. Garshofsky fired out 4,100 and was met by a raise to roughly 18,000 by Watson. Garshofsky instantly folded and Watson pulled in the pot.

Zimmerman Wins With Trips

Asi Moshe opened to 600 from the hijack and was called by Diane Zimmerman on the button and the player in the small blind. The player in the big blind then squeezed to 4,000 and only Zimmerman called.

Zimmerman called a 3,000 bet from her opponent on the A72 flop and a 7,500 bet from him on the A turn.

Both players checked down on the 9 river and the big blind showed K10.

Zimmerman tabled AJ for trip aces and collected the pot.

The flop came J47. Maimone bet 600, Taylor raised to 2,400 and Maimone called.

Maimone check-called a 3,800 bet from Taylor on the 5 turn leading to the A river. Maimone checked, Taylor bet 11,000 and after about a minute Maimone decided to fold.

"Missed double belly-buster. Nine-high like a boss," Taylor announced before showing 98 for the missed draw turned into a bluff.

"No guts, no glory," Johnny Chan, who was at the same table, commented as Taylor dragged in the pot.
