Dezertzov Fires With Kings

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Gil Dezertzov was in the small blind and heads-up against an opponent under the gun going to the 7J5 flop. Dezertzov then led out for 7,000 and his opponent called.

The turn was the 2 and Dezertzov bet another 10,000. The under-the-gun player quickly called and they saw the 9 fall on the river.

Dezertzov then bet 15,000, sending his opponent deep into the tank. He eventually called and held his cards up over the middle of the table, already anticipating he was beat. Dezertzov confirmed his suspicions when he showed KK as he took the pot.

While this hand was taking place, a tournament official made an announcement about a lost player. The unfortunate player admitted he had three martinis at the dinner break and had spent the last hour trying to remember which table he was seated at. He finally found it after a few minutes to a round of applause from the room.

Reed Bluffs as Big Stack; Morris Gets Into Argument

Niveau 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Charlie Reed and the player on the button were involved in a pot of 45,000 chips on a flop of 4104. Reed made a bet of 12,000 chips and was swiftly called by his opponent.

Reed then sized up to 30,000 on the 8 turn, and this time the button took a bit longer. After some minutes, Arthur Morris warned the button that he was going to call the clock after another minute would pass.

The button was not happy with Morris' action, stating: "You can call the clock whenever you want, but don't talk to me in the middle of a hand."

Morris apparently changed his mind after the reaction of the button, and immediately called for time. The button was given thirty seconds to act and folded near the end of his countdown.

Reed showed Q7, but the button seemed not even to notice as he and Morris argued some further, with other players at the table chiming in as well.
