"Indian Poker Wizard" Deevara Shows Off a River Trick

In a five-way pot, action on the 9♣6♣4♠ flop was checked through before Rahul Deevara bet 4,300 from the cutoff on the 3♥ turn.

Abdullah Al-Shanti then raised to 11,000 on the button as the table folded fold to Deevara, who moved all in for 38,000. Al-Shanti called with 7♣5♠ for a turned straight, while Deevara had 6♠6♥ for a set.

Deevara needed to fill up on the river to survive, and the dealer flipped over the 3♣ to complete his full house and earn Deevara a double up.

"The Indian poker wizard," Deevara said.

Action was picked up with cards on their backs with Michael Newman all in and at risk for his last 8,000 in the big blind up against Yuki Toyoshima in the cutoff.

The board ran out K♥6♠7♠9♠2♠ and the flopped two pair was good for Newman to double up at the expense of Toyoshima.

Three ways to the 10♥8♠8♦4♠ turn, Yan Neiman bet 5,500 out of the small blind and Isaac Rodgin called in the big blind, as did Robert Schulz in the cutoff. The 10♦ river paired the board for the second time and it checked to Schulz, who made it 25,500 to go.

Neiman folded but Rodgin sigh-called with the words "I guess you hit the ten". Schulz indeed did with the J♥10♣ as Rodgin exposed the 8♥7♣ for flopped trips eights and an inferior full house on the river.

Silverstein Collects With Boat

The pot was around 45,000 and the board read 10♠6♣8♣3♥6♠. From under the gun, Jonah Silverstein bet 32,000 to put the decision on Yake Wu in the small blind.

Wu made the call after about a minute. Silverstein tabled the 8♠8♦ for a full boat and Wu mucked.

Phan said and was hoping to make it into the coverage. He currently has around 25 big blinds at his disposal in the blue section of the Horseshoe Ballroom.

A handful of times, the dealers vividly asked for the floor to come over to the table as the clock had been called with one player in a long tank. One of such occasions had unfolded on table 535 on which the turn showed 9♥2♥2♦Q♣.

Vincent Dicesare bet 15,000 in the small blind into around 44,000 and George Yutuc then pushed from the button. Deep in the tank, the 30 extra seconds for Dicesare ran down as he asked "what do you have?"

Yutuc replied "why would I tell you that" as the table laughed.

The countdown ran to zero and Dicesare's hand was dead. Yutuc smacked the J♠9♣ on the table to leave his neighbour flabbergasted.

"Nice hand, nice bet," Yutuc concluded.

The Rolling Stone

Diogo Coelho opened the action with a raise to 2,000 from under the gun. Eric Stone three-bet to 6,100 in the cutoff and Coelho made the call.

Stone continued for 3,000 on A♦5♥6♥ and Coelho peeled one.

The turn 10♦ went check-check before Stone fired 8,200 on the K♠ river. Coelho quickly mucked while Stone added to his hefty stack.
