Muratovic Doubles Through Lonis on the Bubble

Asko Muratovic opened from the small blind before moving all in for 419,000 after Jesse Lonis three-bet to 83,000 out of the big blind. Lonis made the call with the covering stack to put his opponent at risk. After hearing that there had been an elimination at another table, Muratovic knew, regardless of the outcome of the hand, he would at the very least chop up a min-cash.

David "ODB" Baker raised to 25,000 on the button and Manuel Fritz then jammed with the covering stack out of the big blind.

Baker inquired if the bubble would still get the Main Event seat for next year and then called all in for 349,000 as he was "playing for the win."

Ferreira Gets Main Event One Step Closer to Bursting the Bubble

Kaushal Vasa raised to 16,000 from middle position and Mauro Ferreira three-bet to 45,000 from late position. The action folded to Daniel Negreanu in the big blind, who only had 46,000 left in front of him. He glanced at his cards, contemplated it for a bit but then got out of their way. Vasa four-bet shoved for his last 105,000 for Ferreira to call with the bigger stack.

Play was paused until all action was completed on all other tables and the whole media circus flocked to their table. Jack Effel announced the situation and asked the players to reveal their cards.

The field gasped and cheered at the same time.

The dealer dealt the 3♠J♦2♠ on the flop to keep Ferreira ahead.

The turn was the Q♠, which didn't change things, and neither did the 2♣ as the aces of Ferreira held to get the field down to 1,518, just one spot from the money.

Lin then bet 100,000 and Brashier again called. The river was the 8♠ and Lin put in his "No Gamble, No Future" patch, as well as a tower of chips to put Brashier all in.
