Weilbacher Scoops with Nines; McEwen Exits

Niveau 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Preston McEwen
Preston McEwen

Short-stacked Preston McEwen opened to 7,000 from his 8,500 stack and the action folded to David Chen, who thought long and hard about it but decided to fold, and then James Weilbacher moved all in for around 28,000 right behind him.

The action then folded to the big blind who shoved for more and McEwen thought about it for two seconds before he shrugged and got the rest of his chips in as well.

Preston McEwen: A9All in
James Weilbacher: 99All in
Big Blind: AK

"Oh man, I'm in pretty bad shape," McEwen chuckled as he sipped his drink, "Come on, spades!"

Sure enough, the flop came out 2104 to give him the nut flush draw for a big sweat, but the runout of 310 failed to get him there and Weilbacher scooped with his nines.

"Agh, well at least it was a sweat!" McEwen said as he made his way towards the exit while Chen was kicking himself for folding pocket threes.

Bahranipoor Strikes Again

Niveau 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

After a preflop betting war with a fellow big stack, all of the chips found their way into the middle between Joseph Bahranipoor and another player, with Bahranipoor covering.

Player: AKAll in
Joseph Bahranipoor: KQ

Bahranipoor needed some help to come out ahead with his dominated hand, but the deck found a way as the flop came out QQ9 to give him a huge lead with trip queens. Only a running straight or aces could save the at-risk player, but the turn 3 left him dead in the water and the 4 sent him shaking his head all the way to the exit.

Louali Lays Out Opponent

Niveau 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

A short-stacked player moved all in for his last 8,000 and the action folded around to the blinds. The small blind player thought about it for a bit and eventually decided to lay it down, but Jihad Louali quickly called from the big blind to put the player at risk.

Player: 88All in
Jihad Louali: A10

The flop of Q5Q gave Louali a ton of outs with his flush draw, but he didn't even need it once the turn was the A to put him in the lead. The river was the blank 7 to score him the pot while his opponent tapped the table and made his exit.

Jeff Madsen
Jeff Madsen

On a heads-up flop of 928, all the chips found their way into the middle between Jeff Madsen and another player, with the former covering.

Player: 1010All in
Jeff Madsen: A2

The at-risk player was ahead with his pocket tens, but Madsen still had one over and a flush draw with two tries to get there. Sure enough, the turn was the J but the river was the 5 to give him the nut flush to scoop the pot and send his opponent to the rail.

LeBranch Shakes some Chips Loose

Niveau 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

After some back-and-forth betting, Jonah LeBranch moved all in and was quickly called by the big blind, who put themself at risk.

Big Blind: KJAll in
Jonah LeBranch: JJ

"Good luck," his opponent said, which was ironic as he was the player who was behind and at risk of elimination.

The runout of Q5695 meant LeBranch held with his pocket jacks to scoop the pot while his opponent headed towards the exit.
