Gus Hansen raised from under the gun. In the big blind, Viktor Blom had already committed 15,000 of his remaining 19,000. He slowly peeled one card at a time and took a pause.

"Oh no, I have a big hand," remarked Blom as he put in his last 4,000.

Blom was in great shape to find a double and it stayed that way on the A♥8♣6♠ flop.

Nothing changed on the K♦ turn.

However, in grotesque fashion, the dealer fanned out the 10♣ on the river to eliminate Blom on the stone bubble.

After 44 hands and over three hours of real time, the players are in the money.
