Fahredin Mustafov Eliminated in 7th Place ($104,465)

Niveau 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Fahredin Mustafov
Fahredin Mustafov

Alexandre Reard opened from middle position to 325,000 and Fahredin Mustafov shoved from the big blind for around 2,300,000. Reard made a quick call.

Fahredin Mustafov : AQ All in
Alexandre Reard: JJ

It was a fair fight that swung heavily in Musrafov's favor after the 3A2 flop paired his ace. No help arrived for Reard on the 5 turn but it did give some chop outs as any non-heart four would give both players a straight. Instead, Reard scooped the whole pot as the J landed on the river, which gave him a set and sent Mustafov to the rail in seventh.

Reard Takes More from Mateos

Niveau 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened to 525,000 in the small blind and was called by Alexandre Reard in the big blind.

Mateos continued for 250,000 on the 510A flop. Reard responded by raising to 525,000 only to see Mateos come back over the top for 1,150,000. After some thought, Reard flatted.

Action checked to Reard following the Q turn and he bet out 675,000. Mateos did not immediately fold, though he eventually released his hand to send more of his stack to his opponent.

Reard in Cruise Control

Niveau 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Alexandre Reard has been in cruise control over the last few orbits and picked up countless uncontested pots from the shorter stacks around him.

In the latest hand, Reard opened the cutoff to 330,000 and Egor Procop defended his big blind .

On the flop of 292, Procop check-folded to a bet of 160,000 from Reard.

Reard is the hot favorite to secure back-to-back bracelets in the same event after taking down this title in 2023.

Rocco Hanging in There

Niveau 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Michael Rocco limped in the small blind and Adrian Mateos checked his option out of the big blind.

Roco bet out 185,000 on the Q9J flop. Mateos quickly folded as Rocco won a pot that, though modest, gave him some much needed help with his short stack.

Rocco Doubles Through Reard

Niveau 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Michael Rocco
Michael Rocco

Michael Rocco min-raised to 320,000 from the hijack and Alexandre Reard three-bet the button to 850,000. The blinds folded then Rocco shoved for 1,850,000, and Reard called.

Michael Rocco: 1010 All in
Alexandre Reard: 99

Rocco's pocket tens held up on the 3AJK6 runout which earned him a double-up, and put a small dent in the stack of Reard.

Alexandre Reard opened to 400,000 from the cutoff, and Aleks Dimitrov jammed for 4,500,000 out of the small blind. Egor Procop then called off for less out of the big blind while Reard got out of the way.

Egor Procop: 1010 All in
Aleks Dimitrov: JJ

It was a cooler that strongly favored Dimitrov. The 9J5 flop all but sealed the hand for Dimitrov, but things changed on the Q turn with Procop picking up a straight draw. It did not come in, however, on the 6 river to bring his deep run to an end in sixth place.

Adrian Mateos Eliminated in 5th Place ($198,261)

Niveau 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Adrian Mateos announced a raise to 400,000 from the cutoff, and Alexandre Reard three-bet the button to 2,000,000. The blinds folded, then Mateos shoved for around 2,200,000 total, and Reard put in the extra chips.

Adrian Mateos: 99 All in
Alexandre Reard: A9

Mateos was in a great spot to double up, but his chances were reduced drastically after the dealer put out a flop of A45, which paired Reard's ace. A 2 on the turn did give Mateos some chop outs, but the 6 river wasn't what he needed, which meant the Spanish player was out in fifth.

Rocco Doubles Through Reard

Niveau 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Michael Rocco shoved for 3,200,000 in the small blind and was called by Alexandre Reard in the big blind.

Michael Rocco: A10 All in
Alexandre Reard: A9

Rocco had his opponent dominated and looked set for a double up. The 642 flop suddenly made things very dicey for the at risk player as Reard picked up the nut flush draw. The J turn changed nothing with Rocco able to breath a sigh of relief after the 8 river completed a safe runout.

Alexandre Reard: 1010

Zobian needed some help but with the way that Reard had been running today, it was of no surprise to see the board run out 48Q109, which gave Reard a set and sent Zobian to the rail in fourth.
