Day 2 started today with 275 players and the knowledge that hand-for-hand play would start quite quickly as 262 players would be cashing in Event #12: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em. After ten 60-minute levels and a half level at the end, only 23 players remain to compete for the top prize of $391,960 and the gold WSOP bracelet.
Taking the massive chip lead into Day 3 is Melissa Gillett from Australia with 3,443,000 chips. Second in chips is [Removed:532] with 1,286,000, and third in the chip counts is Billy Rodgers (1,277,000). Other notables still in contention are Roman Korenev, Phil Collins and David Pham.
