The final Day 1 of five starting flights attracted a huge 3,969 entries. That made a total number of 10,015 entries for Event #19, THE GIANT $365 No-Limit Hold'em.

The final Day 1e tally was 10,015 entries total with 882 survivors.

Once more the players who survived late in the day received a payout of a min-cash on the day; for Day 1e it was 596 places that got paid. The bubble finally burst in level 17 of 18.

Some of the biggest names in poker have tried their luck in this inaugural running of THE GIANT tempted by the potential huge return on a modest investment. One of the biggest names in recent poker history, 2003 Main Event Champion Chris Moneymaker, played one of his few WSOP events this year but he failed to make the money.

Other notables who played and didn’t bag on Saturday were Greg Raymer, Will Kassouf, Tom Hall, Martin Kabrhel and Phil Laak.

Notables who did make it to Day 2 from the last chance Friday include Kathy Liebert and Liv Boeree. They will be joined by some other big name survivors from the previous Day 1s.
