John Hutchinson
John Hutchinson

In the last hand before the break, John Hutchinson and Romit Advani were involved in a huge pot.

Advani raised to 525,000 from the under-the-gun position and Hutchinson called.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{J-Spades}{6-Clubs} on which they both checked.

The turn brought them the {Q-Spades}, Advani bet 775,000, Hutchinson raised to 2,150,000 and Advani called.

The {7-Hearts} on the river completed the board. Advani checked, Hutchinson bet 3,610,000 and after taking some time to think, Advani called. Hutchinson showed {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for a set of jacks and Advani showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for top pair on the turn. Hutchinson took the pot and the chip lead.

Zamani Defends With Aggression

Niveau 30 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante

Dieter Dechant was in the hijack and raised to 825,000. John Myung was on the button and called before Martin Zamani moved all in from the big blind. Dechant folded and Myung tanked. After asking Zamani several questions and noting how he looked nervous, Myung elected to fold. Zamani has chipped up well in these latter levels and has his eyes set on moving onto Day 3.

Volpe Couldn't Hold Against Tuna

Niveau 30 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante

Akin Tuna got it all in pre-flop against Ben Volpe for roughly 4,450,000.

Akin Tuna: {10-Spades}{8-Spades}
Ben Volpe: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}

The flop wasn't kind to Volpe as it came {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Spades} giving Tuna the flush. Volpe would need some combo of a runner-runner to hit if he wanted to win the pot. The turn was the {8-Diamonds} leaving Volpe drawing dead and the river completed things with the {j-Diamonds}. After the hand, Tuna said, "I'm so tired, I just wanted to go and sleep to play the main tomorrow." We think he may have to re-arrange those plans as this tournament will carry on at 2pm tomorrow.
