Gorodinsky's Squeeze Goes Wrong

Niveau 10 : 1,200/2,400, 600 ante

Mike Watson opened with a raise to 6,000. Next to act was Robert Mizrachi and he called on the button. Mike Gorodinsky was next to act and from the small blind he raised to 23,000.

With action back on Watson he called. Then, Mizrachi moved all in for 89,900 more. Gorodinsky thought for a long time before releasing his hand. Watson was much quicker, he released his hand and Mizrachi was pushed the massive pot without any draws.

A Double for Benyamine

Niveau 10 : 1,200/2,400, 600 ante

David Benyamine moved all in for his last 28,100 and Bernard Lee asked for a count out of the small blind before calling. Both players drew one card and tabled the following hands:

David Benyamine: {10-}{6-}{5-}{3-}
Bernard Lee: {8-}{7-}{3-}{2-}

Lee paired his eight and Benyamine paired his five to award the pot and the double up to Benyamine.

Ramos, Bellande, and Alaei Fall

Niveau 10 : 1,200/2,400, 600 ante

Felipe Ramos moved all-in and Jeff Lisandro called. Ray Dehkharghani three-bet jammed over top and Lisandro folded.

Dehkarghani drew one and Ramos stood pat, tabling {j-}{10-}{9-}{6-}{3-}. Dehkarghani revealed {8-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and drew a {3-} to eliminate Ramos.

Ramos joined Jean-Robert Bellande and Daniel Alaei on the rail, both busting just before the Brazilian.

Dehkharghani Finds a Double

Niveau 10 : 1,200/2,400, 600 ante

Galen Hall raised to 5,500 and Ray Dehkharghani moved all in for his last 40,200 from the cutoff. In the small blind, Benny Glaser announced all in and Hall jokingly asked the dealer "can I see first what they do and make my decision?" before releasing his cards into the muck.

Glaser flipped stood pat and flipped over {10-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} while Dehkharghani drew one and revealed {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}. He slowly squeezed the last card and said "it is probably a three," while Glaser was waiting over on the other side of the table. Eventually, Dehkharghani flipped over the {3-} and Glaser shook his head and simply said "so painful" after paying off his opponent.

The shortest stack at the table os Felipe Ramos with less than 10 big blinds, and the Brazilian will have to make a move soon.

Wattel Throws Away the Best Hand, Still Wins

Niveau 9 : 1,000/2,000, 500 ante

After a raise from Dario Sammartino, Mike Wattel moved all in, and Sammartino called.

Sammartino stood pat while Wattel thought for a while then took one, throwing away his {j-} face-up.

Sammartino showed {J-}{10-}{8-}{4-}{3-}. Wattel frustratedly turned over {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}, showing that he had thrown away a certain double-up. It didn't matter, though, he drew the {8-} and earned a double through Sammartino.

"It doesn't matter if you throw away the best hand," Shaun Deeb said, who was seated at the same time. "Your hand is just destined to win."

Chen Takes from Racener

Niveau 9 : 1,000/2,000, 500 ante

Paul Volpe raised to 6,000, and James Chen three-bet to 16,000 on the button, which only John Racener called from the big blind. Racener drew one card, while Chen stood pat. Chen bet 22,500, and Racener folded.

While Chen is among the bigger stacks in the penultimate level of the night, he still trails Jon Turner and Mike Leah by quite some margin.
