Touil Gone for Good

Niveau 6 : 500/1,000, 250 ante

Daniel Alaei has emerged as the chip leader at his table, while Samuel Touil has been eliminated for the second time and won't be able to re-enter.

Phil Galfond then took on Alexander Schwartz, who dropped to a short stack early on but has since recovered. The draw was already complete, and Galfond bet 15,000. Schwartz moved all in, and that proved to force a fold from Galfond after some consideration.

Schulman Triples While Bleznick Busts His Second Bullet

Niveau 6 : 500/1,000, 250 ante
Jared Bleznick
Jared Bleznick

With Nick Schulman and Jared Bleznick both all in, David Benyamine called with a covering stack. All three hands were turned face-up. Benyamine was holding {Q-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}. Bleznick was showing a worse {Q-}{10-}{8-}{7-}{4-}. Schulman was last to turn his cards up. He was holding {9-}{7-}{6-}{4-}, then turned up his last card, which was an {8-}. This gave Schulman the best hand and the triple-up, while Benyamine adopted the rest of Bleznick's chips.

A Rush for Lee

Niveau 5 : 400/800, 200 ante

Bernard Lee first took a pot off Marvin Karlins with a ninety-eight and soon after was paid off by Ben Lamb for 3,100 when showing a {10-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} to boost his stack on the second bullet.

Lamb got the chips back the next hand, though, when he faced a raise to 2,000 by Mike Watson in the hijack and three-bet to 7,000 on the button. Watson called, and both players stood pat. Lamb bet 9,000, and Watson called, but he quickly mucked after being shown {9-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}.

Schulman Nearly Through His Second Bullet; Szymaszek Doubles

Niveau 5 : 400/800, 200 ante
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

Nick Schulman opened with a raise to 2,500. Jared Bleznick called before Matthew Szymaszek raised to 12,000 from the small blind. Action folded back to Schulman, and he moved all in with a stack that covered both Bleznick and Szymaszek. Bleznick quickly folded. Szymaszek thought for a moment, then called.

Both players stood pat. Szymaszek showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. Schulman turned up {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}, which was second-best, and he was forced to send over roughly 45,000 chips to Szymaszek.

One Each for Glaser and Lee

Niveau 5 : 400/800, 200 ante

Bernard Lee raised from under the gun and called a three-bet to 7,000 by Benny Glaser. Lee drew one, and Glaser stood pat. Both players checked. Glaser showed {10-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-} and won the pot.

One hand later, Glaser raised to 2,400, and Lee called in the big blind. This time, both players drew one card and checked. Lee showed {9-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{2-} and gained some chips back on his second bullet. Ben Lamb had to re-enter, as well, after having been eliminated only a few minutes ago, and he took a seat next to Glaser.

Siddique No More

Niveau 5 : 400/800, 200 ante

The draw was already complete, and Usman Siddique bet 8,200. Mike Gorodinsky raised to 30,000, and Paul Volpe was still to act with about double that behind. After some consideration, Volpe let it go, and Siddique also folded. A call would have resulted in his all in, as the Brit was suddenly pushed to the short stack.

One table over, Max Kruse raised to 2,800 in the small blind, and Dario Sammartino three-bet to 7,500 in the big blind. Kruse called, and both players drew one. No betting action followed, and Sammartino showed a king, which was enough to win the pot as Kruse quickly folded.

Alaei Gets Value on the River

Niveau 5 : 400/800, 200 ante

with about 30,000 in the middle, Daniel Alaei tosses out a bet of 16,000 after the draw phase. His heads-up opponent Samuel Touil thought briefly before making the call.

Alaei tabled a ten-eight and Touil mucked.
