Higgs Picks Up a Pot on the River

Niveau 19 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

With just over 40,000 in the pot, the board read {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Sam Higgs checked his option from the big blind. Jason Wheeler made a bet of 33,000 and Higgs made the call.

The river brought the {q-Clubs} and Higgs decided to lead out for 45,000. Wheeler folded and Higgs was able to pick up a pot. The action has been much slower in the couple levels of the night as the number of players gets smaller and the pay jumps become increasingly bigger.

Sawa Takes from Chino

Niveau 19 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Rudolphk Sawa called 8,000 from under the gun, Chino Rheem raised to 36,000 from the button, the blinds got out of the way, and Sawa called.

The flop came {K-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Sawa checked. Rheem bet 50,000 and Sawa called.

The turn brought the {6-Hearts} and Sawa checked again. Rheem bet once more, 100,000 this time, and Sawa called.

The {4-Diamonds} fell on the river and both players checked. Sawa tabled {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for sevens full of sixes.

"We could have played a real big pot," said Rheem as he flipped over {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{9-Spades}{X-}. "We could have played for all the money and you'd have all the chips."

Alberto Fonseca Stacks Dustin Nelson, Doubles Through Rudolphk Sawa

Niveau 19 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Dustin Nelson was in the small blind and got his last 23,000 chips in before the flop against Alberto Fonseca, who was in the hijack, and Rudolphk Sawa on the button.

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Fonseca checked. Sawa checked behind.

The turn brought the {10-Diamonds} and Fonseca bet 25,000. Sawa raised, Fonseca got the remainder of his stack in the middle, and all three players tabled their hands.

Nelson: {A-}{9-}{8-}{7-}
Fonseca: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Sawa: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}

Fonseca had the lead with his king-high straight but needed to fade the board paring on the river against Sawa's top set in order to double up. The {5-} changed nothing and Fonseca took the pot to double through Sawa and send Nelson to the cage.

Niveau 19 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Robert Park opened to 18,000 from under the gun, Eric Hicks three-bet to 66,000 from the cutoff, Park jammed, and Hicks called to put Park at risk.

Park: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Hicks: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
