Brett Shaffer Flips for Stacks

Niveau 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Brett Shaffer raised to 3,800 from middle position and his opponent in the small blind three-bet to 8,900. Shaffer then four-bet shoved all in for 62,200. His opponent thought for a minute and compared stack sizes before tossing in a chip to call. Shaffer barely had his opponent covered by less than 2,000 chips.

Shaffer showed {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and his opponent rolled over {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. It was the classic race scenario for their stacks. The board ran out {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs} and Shaffer made a flush to take down the pot and earn himself a bounty.

Just Quads for Thomas Lutz

Niveau 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With around 11,000 in the pot preflop, Thomas Lutz was heads up with Benjamin Wright, the big blind. The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Wright check-called a bet of 5,500 from Lutz. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Wright checked again to Lutz who bet 5,000. Wright moved all in for 25,300 and Lutz quickly called.

Wright tabled {q-Spades}{6-Spades}, but was drawing dead to the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} of Lutz. The {2-Diamonds} completed the board and Lutz sent his opponent to the rail.

Niveau 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Brandon Cantu
Brandon Cantu

Brandon Cantu barely had time to get his chips out of the bag before getting involved in a big pot on Day 2. Cantu, on the button, was heads-up with Matas Cimbolas in the big blind.

The board read {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Spades} with around 30,000 in the middle and Cantu made a bet of 11,600. The action was on Cimbolas and he was not moving. After several minutes had passed, the clock was finally called on Cimbolas. The countdown was down to five seconds and he decided to pile the rest of his 39,900 chips into the pot in a big heap.

Once the dealer finally sorted through the chips to give Cantu a count, he made the call. Cimbolas showed {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Cantu tabled {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs} to eliminate Cimbolas and take over the chip lead.
