Gooch and Sharaskin Earn KOs

Niveau 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

Jason Gooch and Igor Sharaskin both eliminated players in the last few minutes.

Sharaskin raised Randy Ohel on a king-high, two-diamond flop, and Ohel went all in. Sharaskin had a set of kings and a flush draw against the wrap of Ohel. The board brought no help for Ohel, and he was eliminated.

Then, Jason Gooch put an opponent at risk on the turn with an eight-high straight and a low against a pair of aces. Gooch scooped the pot and eliminated his opponent.

Dan Zack Scoops Jesse Martin

Niveau 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

In the hand just before the break, Jesse Martin and Dan Zack clashed. Zack filled us in on the action.

The player under the gun limped, Zack limped on the button, Martin completed in the small blind, and the big blind checked. The flop came {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Martin bet 1,600. The big blind and next player folded and Zack called.

It was heads up to the {6-Hearts} turn and Martin checked. Zack bet 4,800 and Martin called. The river was the {9-Clubs} and Martin checked again. This time, Zack bet 14,400 and after a long pause, Martin called.

Zack tabled {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for the nut low and a straight to the nine, good for the scoop.

That player called and then checked the {j-Hearts} river. Arieh bet 14,600, and it took a couple of minutes of tanking, but he dragged the pot without a showdown.

Remz Freerolls His Way to a KO

Niveau 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

On the turn, the board was {8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} when Sean Remz and an opponent with about 35,000 got stacks in with Remz having his foe at risk. Remz had {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} for the nut low and kings and was trailing for the moment on the high half against {a-}{8-}. The river was a {k-Clubs}, giving him a winning set.

"Really?" the player with aces up said. He pushed in his chips and stormed off.

"Had a decent freeroll," Remz commented after the player was out of earshot.

At the neighboring table, Richard Tuhrim checked back a final board of {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} with a big pot in the middle and couldn't beat the {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts} shown down by his opponent. He's down to just 7,500.
