Six Français ont fait l'argent de l'Event #52 de la 48e édition des championnats du monde de poker, un tournoi en No Limit à 1500$ l'entrée. Alexandre Reard et Mat Selides sont les uniques survivants après la sortie de l'ancien champion de Foot US, Richard Seymour en 24e position qui a marqué la fin du Jour 2.
Monsieur Reard n'a rien voulu lâcher, inspirer par la performance sympathique de sa femme Aurélie à Downtown. Avec 10 blindes devant lui, il devra néanmoins vite bouger à une table où il retrouvera son compatriote, muni lui de 33 blindes, ainsi que Cary Katz (12bb), Mohsin Charania (87bb), ou encore Rainer Kempe (20bb).
Tombeur du joueur NFL sur la dernière main de la journée, Samuel Phillips a dépassé sur le fil Jamie Florence pour être un des 5 joueurs au dessus du million de jetons à l'entame du Jour 3.
