[Removed:172] and Alexandru Papazian to Determine Champion of Event #60: $888 Crazy Eights

As of 1 p.m. local time, the 2017 World Series of Poker Event #60: $888 Crazy Eights No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed will come to a conclusion and just two players remain out of a 8,120-entry strong field. Alexandru Papazian (50,725,000) will hold a commanding lead over [Removed:172] (14,225,000) when play resumes with 16 minutes and 20 seconds left to play in Level 36 with the blinds of 200,000/400,000 and an ante of 50,000.

Both Papazian and Kramer called it a night after the former sent five players to the rail in a row and Kramer claimed the stack of Harry Lodge to come back fresh and battle for the elusive gold bracelet. Both players are already guaranteed at least $463,888 for their efforts, but all eyes are set on joining the WSOP champions club and first-place payout of $888,888 that comes along with it.

While Papazian only has five cashes at the WSOP for a combined score of $14,607 so far and four of the results are from 2017, the Romanian is well-known online wizard. Papazian's biggest live score came from a victory in the EPT12 € 25,000 + 750 High Roller for a payday of € 1,197,000 and he ranks third in the all-time money list of his country.

Kramer finished 18th in the 2015 WSOP Main Event and followed that up with a 5th place in the WSOP Europe Main Event the same year. The German, now based in Vienna, also reached the final table of Event #56: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em in 2016 for a payday of $42,711 and has racked up a total of 17 WSOP cashes and $685,733 in earnings to date.

Papazian aims to become the first Romanian to win a WSOP bracelet, and his vocal rail will be there to cheer on their countryman. The PokerNews live reporting team will provide hand-for-hand coverage of the heads-up duel until a new champion is crowned.
