Day 1c of Event #60: $888 Crazy Eights No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed is in the books. This flight had a total of 2,072 entries. Add that to yesterday’s flights, and the total entries are currently at 5,242 and counting. A min-cash today was worth $1,333, and 311 players finished in the money. The flight wrapped up with 93 players, who will return for Day 2 on Monday together with the 143 survivors from Flights 1a and 1b and the remaining players of Flight 1d.

The chip leader of this flight is Danny Alvarez with 497,000 chips. Quite a few of those chips were collected when he knocked out Pierre Neuville with a higher flush in one of the last levels of the day. He does have other big stacks behind him, including Joao Vieira (410,000), Bill Germanis (407,000), Catherine Dever (391,000), JeWook Oh (390,000), and Vanessa Kade (424,000).

Unfortunately, not everyone could make it through this flight. Notables like 888 poker ambassadors Chris Moorman, Natalie Hof, Dominik Nitsche, and Bruno Politano along with others like Joe Cada, Barry Shulman, Cliff Josephy, Men Nguyen, Carlos Mortensen, Dylan Linde, Sorel Mizzi, David Pham, and Jeremy Ausmus were all eliminated.

Currently, the top five stacks are Seville Hale (713,000), Jamie Rosen (589,000), Marius Pertea (514,000), Alvarez (497,000), and Jason Wheeler (491,000).

All players that advance through these four flights will come together on Monday and play Day 2 beginning at 2 p.m. in the Miranda Room. Make sure to keep your eyes on PokerNews to see who else makes it to Day 2.
