Monnette check-called another 1,400 on the 
flop. Cates then checked back the 
turn. The river 
saw Monnette lead for 3,200, and Cates thought for a moment.
Any thought that Cates had been considering a call proved wrong as he eventually grabbed many more chips. He threw in 19,500, and Monnette expressed some confusion. However, Monnette didn't tank for long, folding within a few dozen seconds.
