"I Would Never Say Thank You Before the Last Card Came Out"

Niveau 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Michael Haines got his remaining stack in the middle and got action from Brett Feder to his left.

Haines tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} while his Feder showed two {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a coin flip.

The flop came {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Haines took the lead, pairing his king. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Haines looked to the dealer and said, "Thank you!"

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Feder said, "I would never say thank you before the last card came out."

Haines replied, "I know, I was very fortunate."

Ralph Wong Eliminated In Three-Way All-In

Niveau 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ralph Wong opened and Erwann Pecheux moved all in from the button. Colin Padgett in the small blind moved all in behind and when it got back to Wong he called.

Pecheux: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Padgett: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Wong: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Padgett hit runner-runner flush to win the main pot, though Tuhrin had a minor heart attack when he thought there were four diamonds on board and he was pretty much where he had started the hand, not sure whether to be happy with the result.

Oy Convey!

Niveau 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Marc Convey
Marc Convey

Marc Convey was seen getting up from his seat after a hard-fought battle more than halfway through this event.

Richard Tatalovich raised to 11,000 from the cutoff and Convey shipped his stack worth 48,000 in the middle. Tatalovich called.

Convey was at risk with {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, well behind Tatalovich's two kings. The flop was king-high, giving Tatalovich a set, and Convey was unable to improve, sending him to the rail just before the dinner break.

Michael Amato Doubles Up With a River Jack

Niveau 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Michael Amato opened and saw a call and a three-bet before getting all his chips in the middle and finding a call.

Amato: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

Amato groaned after seeing his opponent’s cards, then pleaded with the dealer, “Come on, Bruce. Put a jack out there.”

The bards fell {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

It wasn’t until the river and with hopes fading that a jack popped out to double up Amato. The player next to him said, “That was the case jack."
