Daniel Negreanu on Day 1C

A player in early position limped before Josh Brikis raised to 2,700 from middle position. Daniel Negreanu called in late position, as did the original limper.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. It checked to Brikis who continued for 2,700. Negreanu called and the limper folded.

The turn was the {q-Clubs} and Brikis checked to Negreanu who bet 3,700. Brikis called.

The river was the {3-Diamonds} and Brikis bet 25,000, enough to put Negreanu, who only had 13,200, all in.

"This is an interesting one guys," said Negreanu, "I hit my best card but I think I might be out.

"Why did I have to hit! Gotta figure out if you have any bluffs here. I just don't think I'm there to just throw this in.

"Sorry guys, it's a big one. I got a big hand," he continued. "You're not bluffing right?"

Eventually he called and slammed {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} decisively down on the table and watched as Brikis slid his hole cards into the muck and Negreanu secured an early double up.
