3300 joueurs revenaient au Rio dans la nuit de mercredi à jeudi pour le Jour 2C du Main Event à 10.000$ l'entrée. A l'issue de 5 niveaux de 120 minutes, il y aura environ 2600 participants au Jour 3, la première journée de compétition qui sera commune à la totalité des participants.

Le coverage complet du Main Event

Ils étaient 7221 sur la ligne de départ il y a quelques jours et il reste de nombreuses stars du jeu à la poursuite du titre le plus prestigieux du poker, du bracelet de champion de monde et des 8,1 millions de dollars qui vont avec. Daniel Negreanu n'est lui plus dans le coup tout comme Phil Hellmuth ou Bertrand Grospellier.

Ryan Riess, Joe McKeehen, le recordman de places payées aux WSOP Chris Ferguson mais aussi Men Nguyen, Paul Volpe, JC Tran, Antonio Esfandiari ou encore Loren Klein ont aussi rendu les armes. Même verdict pour Griffin Benger, Federico Butteroni, Maria Ho, Anthony Zinno, Gus Hansen et William Kassouf. Des applaudissements ont d'ailleurs fusé lors de l'élimination du controversé britannique, un des animateurs de l'édition précédente...

Chipleader à l'issue du Jour 2C, le Britannique Artan Dedusha prend le relais pour son premier Main Event. Dedusha est chipleader du général après avoir emballé 680 000 jetons. Marcin Chmielewski (564,000), Michael Krasienko (561,300), Ryan Hughes (510,100)... et le Français Sonny Franco (546,700) se sont aussi mis en évidence.

Titrés sur ce tournoi, Scotty Nguyen, Johnny Chan, Joe Cada et Carlos Mortensen sont toujours dans la course tout comme Dominik Nitsche, Jake Cody, Felipe Ramos, Cate Hall ou Fernando Pons. Le couple Mercier est toujours en piste lui aussi. Natasha a emballé 218 000 contre 150 000 à Jason.

Du côté des Français, Rémi Castaignon, Yorane Kerignard, Sébastien Comel et Romain Nardin ont connu une belle journée.

La totalité de ces joueurs se rassemblera donc avec les 1023 survivants du Jour 2AB dans la nuit de jeudi à vendredi, à partir de 20 heures. Pour un Jour 3 à suivre en direct sur PokerNews.

Kristen Bicknell called from the button, the {J-Clubs} river completed the board, Dedusha checked, and Bicknell bet 39,000. Dedusha tanked for nearly three minutes before he called.

He got called by a player on the button and another in the big blind. On the {8-Spades} river, everyone checked, and Zarco's {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} took it down. Zarco remains above the 400,000 mark heading into the final few hands of the night.

The button folded and Ramos and the next player called. On the {6-Diamonds} turn, Ramos checked, the big blind bet 11,000, Choupeaux folded, and Ramos called.

It was heads up to the {A-Diamonds} river and both players checked. Ramos tabled {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for the flush on the river, good for the pot.
