Jose Ortiz limped in from early position and Gyeongbyeong Lee raised to 3,500. A player called next to act in the hijack before Bryan Piccioli three-bet to 14,000 from the cutoff.

The blinds and Ortiz folded, as did Lee, before the player in the middle called and the dealer spread a {Q-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop.

Piccioli continued for 7,500 and his opponent check-called before both players checked the {5-Hearts} on the turn.

The river landed the {A-Clubs}, and after his opponent checked, Piccioli bet 26,500.

Piccioli's opponent mucked, and the WSOP Asia-Pacific bracelet winner climbed to 184,000 in chips.

Big Slick = Big Pot for Chris George

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Chris George from Day 1
Chris George from Day 1

Chris George opened with a raise to 3,000 from under the gun. The player to his immediate left reraised, making it 7,500 to play. Action folded all the way back around to George who quickly put in a four-bet to 23,000. The other player called.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and George checked over to his opponent who put out a bet of 21,000. George called and the two saw a turn of the {8-Diamonds} where both checked.

George and his opponent both checked again on the {K-Clubs} river. George showed {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and that was good for him to take down the pot as his opponent mucked.

With that pot, George moved above the 200,000-chip mark.

Sixes for Gyeongbyeong Lee

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Following a raise from the under-the-gun player to 2,000, both Brent Roberts and Gyeongbyeong Lee called in the blinds.

The flop came {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Roberts checked to Lee who bet 3,000. The original raiser folded, but Roberts called as the turn landed the {K-Spades}.

Roberts checked, Lee bet 8,000, and Roberts called as the dealer delivered the {2-Diamonds} on the river.

Both players checked and Roberts announced ace high and tabled his {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. Lee tabled his {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and was given the pot to move to over 280,000 in chips.

Gaelle Baumann got her remaining 66,000 chips in the middle against Marc Rivera and was in great shape to double up. Baumann turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and her opponent tabled {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Rivera took the lead with a set of kings. The turn was the {j-Hearts} and the river brought the {4-Diamonds} which was good enough for Rivera to eliminate Baumann.

After cracking Vanessa Selbst's aces on Day 1b in what could turn out to be the hand of the Main Event, Baumann was also eliminated holding the same hand.

Kuipers Wins Kings Against Aces

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Pim Kuipers
Pim Kuipers

After an early-position raise, Pim Kuipers looked down at {K-}{K-} and put in a three-bet in late position. The initial raiser four-bet and Kuipers called. The flop was {K-}{10-}{X-} and all the money went in to create a pot of 160,000. Kuipers' opponent held {A-}{A-} and was out-flopped by Kuipers' kings. The board provided blanks on turn and river to send the pot to the Dutchman.

Shortly after, Kuipers knocked a player out with {A-}{A-} against {Q-}{Q-} to move up even further. Kuipers now sits at 350,000 and wields one of the biggest stacks in the room.
