Lovgren Takes a Big Hit

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Joining the action on the {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} turn, the player in the hijack checked and Sofia Lovgren bet 5,100 on the button before her opponent check-raised all in for 18,000. Lovgren quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Hijack: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Sofia Lovgren: {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

"Spade my friend," the hijack said and sure enough, the {7-Spades} appeared on the river to give him a winning flush. Lovgren dropped back to a mere 30,000 and the biggest stack on the table is Yehuda Cohen, also known as "chiKKita banAAna".

Negreanu Always Has It

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

On a flop of {A-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Spades} Daniel Negreanu checked over to one opponent from the big blind. The other player put out a bet of 3,100. After thinking for a bit, Negreanu put in a reraise, making it 8,600. His opponent quickly folded.

"I don't know what it is about you," Negreanu said. "Whenever I play a hand against you I just flop it."

Negreanu then showed {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} for a flopped flush.

"That's it!" The player said. "That's the last time I play a hand with you today."

No Risk, No Fun - Saad's Move Goes Wrong

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante
Nick Abou Risk
Nick Abou Risk

On the table of 2016 November Niner Griffin Benger, a big pot emerged that would ultimately end in the elimination of Thomas Saad.

Danny Boyaci raised from the hijack and Nick Abou Risk called on the button, as did Saad in the big blind. Saad quickly bet the {7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop for 2,000 and Boyaci folded, Abou Risk called. After the {K-Clubs} turn, Saad bet again quickly, making it 4,000 to go. Abou Risk raised to 11,000 and faced a quick three-bet to 22,000, which the Canadian and now-resident of Ireland called.

After the {K-Spades} river, Saad moved all in for 48,600 and that represented a big portion of Abou Risk's stack. It took more than two minutes of consideration, but Abou Risk called and Saad flipped over {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for kings and fours. Abou Risk had that beat with {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for trips kings and raked in a big pot.

"Nice hand, good call," Saad said and they shook hands. On his way out, Saad turned around and asked Abou Risk "did I do anything to make you call?"

Jody Evans Folds Queens Preflop

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Arthur Voskanyan had a short stack and was all in and there was a raise from first Robert Cheung and then Jody Evans before Cheung re-raised.

Evans had a fair chunk of his stack in the middle but was agonising over his decision before opting to fold his {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}face up.

Cheung: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Voskanyan: {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Voskanyan rivered a straight to double up while conversation was still focused on whether folding queens in that spot was correct.

Evans had the last word on the subject though, “Still alive eh boys?”

Jean Flops Set, Turns Boat, Gets Paid

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

A player in late position opened to 1,500 and Benoit Jean called in the cutoff. The two players went to a {4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and the player in late position continued with a bet of 2,100. Jean called.

The turn was the {a-Hearts} and Jean's opponent fired a second barrel worth 4,500. Jean raised to 12,000 and his opponent called.

The {q-Hearts} completed the board on the river and Jean's opponent slowed down, checking to Jean. Jean bet 18,000 and his opponent called, mucking after Jean tabled {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

Woods Forces a Raina Fold

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Takahiro Nakai raised to 1,400 from the cutoff and was called by Scott Woods and Gaurav Raina in the blinds.

The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}.

While Nakai was considering what to do, John Dwyer was counting his chips. He suddenly spoke up and said to the dealer: "I am short 5,000." Apparently he had gone all-in in the previous hand and doubled up versus Nakai. He said he had gone all-in for 47,500 and now only had 91,700 after having paid the ante in this hand. The floor was called and Dwyer explained the story to the floor. The rest of the table confirmed that he had gone all-in for 47,500 and should have double that plus the antes and the blinds. The floor ruled that Nakai had to give 5,000 to Dwyer. Nakai was then left with 10,200.

Woods, Raina and Nakai all checked on the flop.

The turn was the {A-Spades}. Woods bet 2,500, Raina called and Nakai folded.

The {2-Hearts} on the river completed the board, Woods lead out for 7,500 and Raina took some time to think. He looked at his cards again and then decided to fold.

"Either I Win Chips, or I Can Whine About Losing a Flip"

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

We found Rainer Kempe in the small blind putting a short-stacked Andrew Wilmot at risk, with the latter having shoved for a little under 6,000. Wilmot had {a-}{j-} and Kempe {3-}{3-}, and the flip went Wilmot's way as he flopped a pair of jacks.

"You didn't have to call with pocket threes," Wilmot said.

"Either I win chips, or I can whine about losing a flip," Kempe pointed out. "I can only win."

Mizrachi called, the turn was the {3-Hearts}, and Mizrachi check-called 11,200 from his opponent. The {6-Hearts} river completed the board and both players checked.

"Small pair,' announced Mizrachi.
