Robinson's Kicker Plays Against Berman

Niveau 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Richard Robinson moved all in for his last 535,000, and Eric Berman re-shoved from one seat over with more than twice as many chips. Everyone else got out of the way, and the cards were flipped over.

Richard Robinson: {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Eric Berman: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Robinson was ahead and retained the lead on the {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop. The {J-Diamonds} turn gave Robinson a pair of jacks, but Berman picked up a flush draw. The blank {K-Spades} on the river was no help for Berman, and Robinson doubled.

Florian Lohnert Fires a Giant River Bet

Niveau 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Florian Lohnert
Florian Lohnert

There was close to 2,000,000 in the pot already, and the board read {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Florian Lohnert was first to act, and he slid out a big river bet of 1,775,000. Shawn Daniels, the other player in the hand, dropped into the tank, thinking for nearly two minutes before finally throwing his hand away.

The ESPN camera crews moved in to record the hands for their production team.

"Could you show me that one?" Daniel asked.

"We're recording yours first," David Tuchman replied.

"Lift that second one a little higher," Daniel said.

The crew lifted each hand up one at a time as they looked at each players hands, then moved away from the table. As they walked away, laughter could be heard.

"Your hand was so bad they were laughing at it?" Daniels joked after the hand.

On a board reading {k-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} with about 400,000 in the pot, Nicolas Cardyn checked from the big blind. Frank Crivello was in the hijack and bet 225,000. Cardyn called. The turn was the {j-Clubs}, and both players checked to the {j-Diamonds} on the river. Cardyn led out for 360,000, and Crivello immediately said, "Call. I have a king," and tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. Cardyn flashed {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for queen-high, and Crivello raked in the pot.

Crivello now sits with more than eight million, near the top of the counts.
