Marinelli Wins a Big Flip

Niveau 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

A raising war saw the stacks of Dario Marinelli and his opponent go all in for more than 30,000 each and Marinelli held the slightly superior stack and {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}. His opponent turned over pocket jacks and the board came {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{A-Diamonds} to improve Marinelli on the river. Both stacks were counted and Marinelli's 31,250 were indeed the one that covered to ship the entire pot to the Italian.

Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

Kristen Bicknell raised to 1,200 from under the gun and was three-bet to 3,500 from a player in middle position. Bicknell called and the flop came {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Bicknell check-called a bet of 5,100 on the flop and the {5-Clubs} landed on the turn. Both players checked and the {k-Diamonds} completed the board. Both players checked again and Bicknell tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Her opponent showed {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} and the pot was shipped to Bicknell.

Just a couple of hands later, Bicknell got involved in a large pot with Robert Schulz. With around 7,500 in the middle, Bicknell led out for 5,600 on a board reading {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Schulz made the call and the {10-Diamonds} landed on the river.

Bicknell checked and Schulz moved all-in, putting Bicknell at risk for her last 17,000 should he call. She thought for a couple moments and finally pushed her chips forward. Schulz turned over {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Bicknell sent her cards to the muck.

Plamen Yakimov got his short stack in from early position and Fabrice Halleux reshoved for 6,425 from the hijack. James Hoeppner in the big blind gave it some consideration and called.

Plamen Yakimov: {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Fabrice Halleux: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
James Hoeppner: {J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The board came {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{A-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Halleux sent Yakimov to the rail while doubling his short stack through Hoeppner. "Is this your fetish hand, jack nine?" Halleux asked and Hoeppner replied "I was hoping you had ace-king."

Neuville on Six Digits

Niveau 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

On the tail end of a big pot between Viktor Kovachev and Pierre Neuville, the latter bet 14,000 on the {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{K-Clubs} river and Kovachev eventually called. Neuville rolled over {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for trips tens and raked in a decent pot, boosting his stack to six digits.

Roberto Romanello also faced a big bet on a heads-up river and it was Sergio Fernandez that made it 13,500 to go from the big blind. The board showed {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and Romanello said in table chat "I have a queen, that's pretty sick. Did you defend with queen six?" Ultimately, the Welshman tossed in the chips for the call and Fernandez indeed showed {Q-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a full house. Romanello dropped below the starting stack and has plenty of work ahead in the upcoming hours.
