Grafton Already Climbing

Niveau 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

Sam Grafton, pictured in an earlier event.

Sam Grafton was one of the stars of the early days of the World Series of Poker Main Event this summer, bagging up one of the top stacks on Day 1 and reveling in his status as one of the leaders. He's off to a similar start here in Europe as we noted him dragging a few pots.

First, he checked a {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop from the big blind and saw an opponent bet 675. Grafton clicked back and induced a fold.

Then, Grafton bet 2,200 from the button on a {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flop. The pot was about 7,000 before the bet, and an opponent in middle position made it 6,400 to go. Grafton peeled and the turn was a {j-Spades}. The middle player bet 15,000 and Grafton asked to his stack. It was about 20,000 more and Grafton told the dealer he was all in. That resulted in a snap-fold.

Van Zadelhoff Loses To Tomovic

Niveau 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

Aleksandar Tomovic raised to 725 from the under-the-gun position and was called by Steven van Zadelhoff in the hijack and the player in the cutoff.

The flop came {8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, Tomovic checked, Van Zadelhoff bet 1,500, the cutoff folded. Tomovic raised to 4,500 and Van Zadelhoff called.

The turn brought them the {10-Hearts}, Tomovic bet 8,000 and Van Zadelhoff took a bit of time to consider what to do. He then called.

The river completed the board with the {5-Diamonds} on which they both checked. Tomovic showed {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a set of deuces and the pot as Van Zadelhoff mucked his cards.

"Nice hand." Van Zadelhoff said while knocking the table.

Big River Bet Takes it for Reichenstein

Niveau 2 : 150/300, 0 ante
Uri Reichenstein
Uri Reichenstein

Uri Reichenstein was in early position and put in about 5,000 preflop along with a player in the small blind, although we didn't see who the aggressor was. The small blind bet 3,700 on the {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} flop and Reichenstein called. Both checked the {4-Hearts} to get to a {j-Spades} river. The small blind checked and Reichenstein overbet with 21,500. That induced a fold after about a minute of thought.
