Segal Doubles With Aces

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Amnon Ezuz limped and eventually six-bet all in to see Tamir Segal snap-call for his entire stack from one seat over. Franco Polidori folded and later said in table chat he had folded pocket queens.

Tamir Segal: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Amnon Ezuz: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board came {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Segal doubled.

Scaramozza Busts Early On

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Patrick Scaramozza was already all in and awaiting his fate while Timo Kamphues and Evangelos Vougiouklakis headed to the {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} turn. Vougiouklakis moved all in and Kamphues had a tough decision, but eventually folded with a dry smile on the face.

Patrick Scaramozza: {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Evangelos Vougiouklakis: {J-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Scaramozza had plenty of outs with his pair and straight draw, but the river was the blank {2-Diamonds} to send the Italian to the rail.

Lalwani Sends Zukorlic to the Rail

Niveau 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Picking up the action on the {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Rakesh Lalwani bet 1,100 and Jan Gompers called from a few seats over in late position. Edzevit Zukorlic on the button raised it up to 3,500 and Lalwani was the only caller. On the {8-Diamonds} turn, Lalwani checked and Zukorlic moved all in for around 18,000, Lalwani almost beat him into the pot.

Edzevit Zukorlic: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Rakesh Lalwani: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

The {2-Diamonds} on the river brought no miracle for Zukorlic and he was sent to the rail.

Quads for Buzan; Motovsky and Reinhold Out

Niveau 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Roman Motovsky (left) busts early in Day 1D
Roman Motovsky (left) busts early in Day 1D

A loud scream by Adrian Buzan could be heard in the entire poker room and a few players from nearby tables glanced over to see what had happened. A three-way all in emerged on the {K-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts} turn with Roman Motovsky as shortest stack, Buzan as second-biggest stack and Pascal Reinhold with a mere 800 chips more.

Roman Motovsky: {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Adrian Buzan: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Pascal Reinhold: {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The {K-Diamonds} on the river gave Buzan quads and was the reason for his excitement.

Reinhold moved all in for the last four big blinds the very next hand and the big blind called with {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Reinhold held {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} but failed to hold up on the board {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

Solid Start for Boyd and Sahijwani

Niveau 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

The early success rate of Dutch Boyd in the previous flights has been very good and the three-time WSOP bracelet winner scored an early double on Day 1A while grinding up a big stack on Day 1B. Neither has been the case for Day 1D just yet, but he added quite a few chips to his stack.

Same also applies for Sanjay Sahijwani, who just claimed a pot without showdown. On the heads-up turn of {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Spades}, the Chilean checked and faced a bet of 1,600 by a player in early position. Sahijwani check-raised to 5,300 out of the small blind and that did the trick.

Rychlik Gets Paid Off

Niveau 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Amir Temrani defended his small blind against a raise by Roman Rychlik and was spotted check-calling a bet of 1,800 by Rychlik on the {J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} turn. Temrani also checked the {10-Clubs} on the river and Rychlik now quickly splashed in another bet of 2,800. Temrani was curious enough to see the cards of the Czech and called, but mucked as soon as he was shown the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for top two.
