Walnum Needs a Miracle

Niveau 15 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Andreas Walnum
Andreas Walnum

There was one bustout and one table still played a hand that would see Andreas Walnum reduced to a miracle, while Ivaylo Sivinov showed up out of nowhere with an above-average stack.

Walnum defended his big blind against a raise by Marco Figuccia and check-called a bet on the {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop. On the {10-Clubs} turn, Walnum bet the pot, Figuccia shoved and the Norwegian called.

Marco Figuccia: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Andreas Walnum: {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{X-}

The {7-Clubs} on the river further improved Figuccia to a flush and he doubled for 54,200, leaving Walnum on fewer than one big blind on the direct money bubble.

Another Three-Way All In

Niveau 15 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Yet another theee-way all in, this time preflop, saw Christian Teubner all in and at risk just shy of the money and he had to crack two pair of aces in showdown against Sergei Popov and Hok Yiu Lee.

Christian Teubner: {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Hokyiu Lee: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Sergei Popov: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The board came {Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Teubner tripled up, while Lee won the side pot to double through Popov. Since three other short stacks busted on different tables, the field was reduced to the last 54 and the money bubble is near with 52 spots paid.

Dyll Wins Massive Pot

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Michele Di Lauro out before the money
Michele Di Lauro out before the money

On a three-way flop of KcQh7s], the stacks of Andreas Dyll, Michele Di Lauro and Raffaele Castro went into the middle and Di Lauro was the shortest stack of the trio.

Michele Di Lauro: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{J-Spades}{3-Spades}
Andreas Dyll: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Raffaele Castro: {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The {8-Diamonds} turn and {8-Clubs} river let Dyll double through Castro while sending Di Lauro to the rail.

Castro then three-bet and called the four-bet shove of Christopher Back to double with {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} versus {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} on a board of {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

Rothaermel Doubles; Haemaelaeinen Strikes Back

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

In a multi-way pot to the {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, Toni Haemaelaeinen bet and called off the shove of Martin Rothaermel in a battle of the blinds. Rothaermel was all in and at risk with the {K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} and held up against the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} of the Finn on a {6-Diamonds} turn and {A-Spades} river run out to double for 36,600.

Soon after, Haemaeleinen had another player all in for almost all of his remaining chips on an ace-high flop with clubs flush draw. Haemaelaeinen's ace-king high held up against the nut flush draw and live outs to see Haemaelaeinen get back to the stack he had before his misstep.

Kabrhel Missing

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Martin Kabrhel had entered very late and ran up his stack to more than 130,000, but that has since been reduced to zero as the Czech master of speech play exited the tournament area. Daniel Rezaei dealt the final blow and jumped well above the average, only trailing Viliyan Petleshkov at his table.

Haemaelaeinen Misreads Hand on the River

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Andrej Isjurow had been all in and was awaiting his fate while Toni Haemaelaeinen and Jessica Teusl checked down the {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop and the {A-Clubs} turn. Haemaelaeinen then bet 10,000 on the blank river and Teusl folded.

Isjurow tabled the {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a flush and Haemaelaeinen turned over his cards in {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. He was then somewhat shocked as he thought he had a full house and misread his cards.

One table over, Sebastian Kos has been cleaning up the table as of lately and sent Dorel Eldabach as well as Viktor Kovachev to the rail.

Deeb Above Half a Million

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Shaun Deeb and Martin Kabrhel
Shaun Deeb and Martin Kabrhel

Picking up the action on the {J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{J-Spades} turn, Shaun Deeb bet 25,500 from under the gun and was called by Alexander Dmitrienko from one seat over. They opted to check through the {10-Spades} on the river and Deeb showed the {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Dmitrienko shook his head and mucked {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} face up. With that pot, Deeb has surpassed half a million in chips, which would be good enough for second place overall for Day 2 right now.
