Zhou Gets Value From Gray; Break With 13 Remaining

Niveau 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

In the last hand of the level, Quan Zhou limped from the small blind and Jason Gray raised the pot in the big blind, Zhou called. On the {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop, Zhou checked and called a bet of 22,000 before the {10-Spades} on the turn went check, check. Zhou then bet the {5-Spades} river for 86,000.

Gray gave it half a minute before making the call and Zhou quickly rolled over {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for the nut straight to claim the pot.

Right after, the players were sent into a 20-minute break.

Zhou Chips Up a Bit

Niveau 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

The flop was reading {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and there was a little over 60,000 in the pot already when Daniel Rezaei checked to Quan Zhou. Zhou fired a bet of 49,000 and Rezaei made the call.

The {6-Spades} turn was added to the board and Rezaei checked again to Zhou. Zhou fired a big bet of 140,000 and that was too much for Rezaei to call as he threw his four cards into the muck.

Ryan Riess Eliminated in 14th Place (€4,742)

Ryan Riess

Anson Tsang made it 25,000 to go from the hijack and was called by Hokyiu Lee in the small blind and Ryan Riess in the big blind. Lee bet the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop and Riess jammed for what appeared to be 180,000. That forced out Tsang, but Lee snap-called for a reason.

Ryan Riess: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Hokyiu Lee: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

Riess had flopped bottom set and the six-high flush draw, which gave him some outs to crack the top set of Lee. However, neither the {7-Clubs} turn nor the {5-Clubs} on the river provided any help to Riess. The 2013 WSOP Main Event champion missed out on another bracelet and departed in 14th place for €4,742, adding another Czech flag to his impressive poker profile.

Cieslik Doubles Through Zhou

Niveau 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Gergely Bartos raised to 23,000 in the cutoff and was called by Quan Zhou on the button and Roman Cieslik in the big blind. Cieslik moved all in for 48,000 on the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and it was Zhou that reluctantly called.

Roman Cieslik: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Quan Zhou: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Zhou needed runner-runner to eliminate Cieslik, but the {9-Diamonds} turn and {4-Hearts} river brought no upset.

Bartos Spikes on the River to Double

Niveau 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Gergely Bartos
Gergely Bartos

The flop was reading {9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} and the pot had about 60,000 in it when Gergely Bartos got his remaining 278,000 in the middle against Quan Zhou, who had him dominated.

Bartos was holding {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for the nut-flush draw and Zhou had {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for middle set.

The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and the river was the {8-Spades} and Bartos managed to spike a spade on the river to stay in the game with a healthy stack of over 600,000.

Anthony Zinno Eliminated in 15th Place (€4,034)

Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

Anthony Zinno was all in and at risk from the big blind, awaiting his fate while Ilya Bulychev in early position and Jason Gray in the cutoff saw the {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} turn. Bulychev checked and Gray bet 100,000, which isolated successfully to create the following showdown.

Anthony Zinno: {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Jason Gray: {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Despite flopping a flush, Zinno needed a miracle and only had one out remaining against the turned full house of Gray. The river was the {2-Hearts} and Zinno departed in 15th place for €4,034.

Allen Kessler Eliminated in 16th Place (€4,034)

Hokyiu Lee raised the pot and Allen Kessler stuck his last eight big blinds in from the big blind, Lee called.

Allen Kessler: {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Hokyiu Lee: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

"I am pot committed anyways from the big blind," Kessler shrugged before the flop fell {Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} to give him a flush daw. The {K-Clubs} turn favoured Lee as he had the better clubs draw, and the {J-Spades} river ended Kessler's run in 16th place for €4,034.

Cieslik Doubles Through Zhou

Niveau 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Roman Cieslik put all of his chips in the middle, which was worth 38,000, but the dealer threw back three 1,000 chips, as the maximum allowed raise was 35,000. It folded back around to Quan Zhou in the small blind and he three-bet to 130,000. The big blind folded and Cieslik called with his remaining 3,000.

Roman Cieslik: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Quan Zhou: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Cieslik doubled up to eight big blinds.
