The first gold bracelet event of the 2019 World Series of Poker Europe will be one step closer to crowning a champion at Europe's biggest poker arena today, as 243 players return to their seats at King's Casino and Resort near the border to Germany for Day 2 of Event #1 €350 Opener No-Limit Hold'em.
Only one-fourth of the 1,011-entry strong field remains and the top 152 spots will take home a portion of the €302,541 prize pool. Leading the Day 1 survivors into a long day of poker is Renat Bohdanov, who claimed 525,000 to his name on Day 1a. Daniel Lahmani follows in 2nd with Daniel Lahmani. Elena Litvinyuk topped the second flight and returns with the third-biggest stack of 385,500, followed by Bartel Kars (374,500) and Daniel Braude (357,500).
Roland Israelashvili made the trip to Rozvadov and has a top 10 stack with 332,000, other notables above the average include Jonathan Wong (302,500), Thai Ha (292,500), Stanislav Koleno (281,000), Erik Cajelais (274,000), Timur Margolin (246,000) and Michael Magalashvili (186,500).
Current 2019 WSOP POY leader Robert Campbell cashed on Day 1a of Event #2 and then ran up a stack in the Opener, he will try to score another result and returns with a stack of 74,500. Phil Hellmuth returns to a short stack of 27,500 to notch up a WSOPE cash.
The level duration remains at 40 minutes each throughout the entire tournament and Day 2 will attempt to play down to the final six. Whether or not that is possible remains to be seen and you can follow all the action right here on PokerNews.
