Motovsky Turns a Boat

Niveau 17 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Kvapil raised it up from early position and Roman Motovsky just called in the hijack. The two players saw a flop of {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Kvapil continued for 11,000. Motovsky called and the {q-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

Kvapil checked this time and Motovsky tossed in a bet of 15,000. Kvapil called and the river was the {9-Hearts}. Kvapil checked again and Motovsky bet another 35,000. Kvapil thought for a moment before making the call. Motovsky flipped over {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for a full house while Kvapil flashed {a-}{a-} before mucking.

Last Break of the Night

Niveau 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The remaining 20 players are going on their last 15-minute break of the night. There will be just two more levels left in the night or until the field reaches 12 players.

Kaiser Exits the Room

Niveau 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

After dumping off more than half of his stack with {10-Spades}{7-Spades} a couple of hands earlier, Juergen Kaiser found himself all in for his last 26,000. He was up against Walter Sinzinger who held the preflop lead.

Walter Sinzinger: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Juergen Kaiser: {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The flop of {j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} gave Sinzinger a pair of fives and the {a-Spades} on the turn improved him to two pair. Kaiser was already drawing dead before the {3-Spades} hit the river.

Campbell Busts Before the Money

Niveau 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Robert Campbell
Robert Campbell

Robert Campbell once built his stack up to around 200,000 chips but things turned around ever since. Going into the final three tables, Campbell was down to around 100,000 and he just saw it all disappear.

A completed board of {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} was spread across the felt and Campbell checked from the big blind. Josef Snejberg announced all in from under the gun into a pot of around 65,000. Campbell had around 35,000 chips remaining and went into the tank before calling it off.

Snejberg tabled {a-Spades}{9-Spades} for the nut flush while Campbell was forced to show {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. With that, Campbell will fall short of a min-cash and fail to add any Player of the Year points to his total on Day 1d. He is currently in line to register for the night flight and another chance.

Dobias Stays Patient

Niveau 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Yaron Borenstein raised it up from middle position and Jakub Dobias defended from the big blind. The flop came {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Dobias check-called a bet of 10,000 from Borenstein.

The turn was the {q-Hearts} and both players checked to the {8-Spades} on the river. Dobias checked once more and Borenstein bet 15,000. Dobias finally made his move with a check-raise to 50,000 and Borenstein instantly folded.

Botbol Spikes a Two-Outer

Niveau 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Yaniv Botbol open-shipped all in for 43,000 from under the gun and Omar Azar asked for a count from the hijack before pushing all in as well. The rest of the table folded and the cards were tabled.

Yaniv Botbol: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Omar Azar: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Botbol spiked a six to take the lead. The {8-Clubs} on the turn and the {4-Hearts} on the river secured the double up for Botbol, leaving Azar with less than two big blinds.

Volcovschi's Nines are Good

Niveau 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Walter Sinzinger and Juergen Kaiser limped in from early position and Diana Volcovschi raised it up to 9,500. Both Sinzinger and Kaiser called to see a flop of {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. The action checked around to the {2-Diamonds} on the turn.

Sinzinger checked again and Kaiser tossed in a bet of 11,500. Volcovschi and Sinzinger both called. The {4-Hearts} completed the board and all three players checked it down. Sinzinger showed {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} but Kaiser had that beat with {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Volcovschi had them both beat with {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and raked in the pot.
