Bertrand Grospellier a patienté 91 mois depuis sa dernière victoire en Live et cela en valait la peine. Le Français a conquis sa deuxième breloque WSOP à l'occasion du Colossus WSOP Europe 2019, lundi à Rozvadov face à 2.737 adversaires!
Sacré une première fois aux WSOP à Las Vegas en juin 2011 sur un 7 Card Stud, le n°1 à la All Time Money List France empoche 190 375€ pour sa victoire et affine un peu plus un palmarès légendaire. Son dernier coup d'éclat remontait à l'été 2017 quand il avait terminé runner-up du One Drop pour un peu plus de 2 millions de dollars derrière Doug Polk. Cette fois, il y a moins d'argent au bout, mais un exploit qui fait d'ElkY le deuxième tricolore à posséder 2 bracelets WSOP.
Le Français avait commencé l'ultime journée dans le milieu du paquet à 11 left, il s'impose face à Avraham Dayan lors du head's up! ElkY a dominé un tournoi à 550€ l'entrée qui a déroulé 9 journées de départ et servi de théâtre à la conclusion de la course au Prix de Joueur WSOP de l'Année 2019.
Vainqueur du POY en 2018, Shaun Deeb devait terminer 5e pour dépasser Daniel Negreanu sur le fil, l'Américain a été le premier sortant de l'ultime journée des World Series Of Poker 2019.
313 joueurs étaient encore en lice au Jour 2, dimanche pour cet ultime tournoi de la 3e édition des WSOP Europe en République Tchèque. Dayan a raté l'occasion de succéder à son compatriote israélien Tamir Segal, vainqueur de l'édition 2018 qui avait rassemblé 2 992 entrants en 2018. Il se consolera avec une première ligne Hendon Mob de qualité et le souvenir d'avoir vu l'ancien héros de StarCraft et WarCraft III s'envoler au dessus des 14 millions de dollars en carrière.
Pasquale Braco, Mick Heder et Marian Kubis ont aussi transformé leur billet de 500 en un gain à 5 chiffres avant de laisser la place à une icône du poker moderne.
